Celebrate Ramadan: Heritage Village Evenings Festival Launches in Bahrain

The Ministry of Information has officially announced the launch of the first edition of the Heritage Village Evenings Festival, designed to showcase Bahrain's rich cultural heritage. The festival will take place at the Heritage Village in Ras Hayan, opening its doors to visitors on the first day of Ramadan and running until the 18th of the holy month.
This initiative aims to revive Bahrain's authentic traditions while boosting domestic tourism. The festival will feature a diverse range of cultural, entertainment, and commercial activities that highlight the kingdom's deep-rooted heritage.
Visitors can explore the festival daily from 8:30 PM to 1:00 AM, making it a key destination for Bahraini families, residents, and tourists looking to experience Ramadan in a vibrant environment that seamlessly blends entertainment, tradition, and shopping.
Festival activities will include live performances of traditional arts that celebrate Ramadan customs, such as "Al Musaher," "Gergaoun," "Al Widaa," and "Daq Al Habb." In addition, heritage competitions and traditional games will be featured, including a "Gergaoun contest for the best traditional attire," which seeks to revive the legacy of past generations.
The Heritage Village will also host a traditional market, complete with local shops, cafés, and food stalls, providing visitors with an authentic shopping experience set against the backdrop of Ramadan festivities.
The festival reflects the Ministry of Information's commitment to preserving Bahrain's cultural heritage and strengthening national identity. It also aims to support Bahraini entrepreneurs and artisans by showcasing their products and emphasizing the importance of traditional crafts in the kingdom's cultural landscape.
