Firefighters battle blaze at former Harpenden soft play centre
Firefighters have battled a large blaze at a former children's soft play from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Southdown Industrial Estate in Harpenden, near St Albans, at about 22:06 BST on a post on X, the service said it had a number of fire engines on scene, and it urged people living nearby to keep their windows on Facebook appeared to show the ambulance service on standby. One person dead following city house blaze
A person has died following a house blaze in Hertfordshire. Four fire engines were sent to Lower Paxton Road in St Albans just before 17:00 GMT on Wednesday. A person was brought out of the house by firefighters to be given medical attention, but died at the scene.
