Salam meets French and Chinese ambassadors, discusses development in Akkar and infrastructure projects
Prime Minister Nawwaf Salam welcomed French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro, at the Grand Serail with talks focusing on bilateral relations and recent developments. He also held a farewell meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Qian Minjian, expressing appreciation for the ambassador's efforts to strengthen Lebanon–China ties and wishing him success in his future endeavors. Later, PM Salam met with MP Ahmad Rustum to discuss development issues concerning the Akkar region.

MP Elias Bou Saab, French Ambassador discuss reform laws and upcoming donor conference
Lebanon's Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saab met on Tuesday morning with French Ambassador Hervé Magro and political advisor Romain Calvary at his office in Parliament. The discussions focused on the work of the Lebanese Parliament, including the reform laws that have been passed and those currently under review. The meeting also addressed the steps required from the Lebanese government in preparation for the donor conference scheduled to be held in France in the coming months.

French Ambassador hands FM Rajji border archive to aid in Syrian border demarcation
Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji received French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro, who handed him a copy of the French archive documents and maps related to the Lebanese-Syrian border. The handover came at Lebanon's request and in fulfillment of a promise made by French President Emmanuel Macron to President Joseph Aoun to provide Lebanon with these documents, which will assist in the process of demarcating its land border with Syria.''

Lebanon Receives Archival Maps from France on its Borders with Syria
Lebanon received on Thursday a set of copies of archival documents and maps from France related to its border lines with Syria, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. The maps, delivered at the official request of Lebanon, were handed to Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji. In a post on its X page, the Foreign Ministry said that Rajji received French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, who delivered a set of historical documents and maps from the French archives related to the Lebanese-Syrian border. The papers are expected to assist Lebanon in the demarcation process of its land borders with neighboring Syria. Lebanon shares a 330-kilometer (205-mile) border with Syria with no official demarcation at several points.

French Ambassador hails Lebanon's banking secrecy reform as key step toward recovery
French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro described the Lebanese Parliament's approval of the banking secrecy law as 'a promising step on the path of economic and financial reforms.' In a post on X, Magro emphasized that restoring confidence in Lebanon's banking sector also hinges on the next phase: the adoption of a draft law to restructure the banking sector.
