Edinburgh city centre may gain a new bubble tea shop on a busy city centre street.
Plans have been lodged with Edinburgh Council to erect signage for Hey Luck Bubble Tea: Bubble Tea & Street Food at 72 South Clerk Street.
The shopfront sits between Polish market, Touch of Poland, and American-style eatery, Burger Drop Edinburgh, just a few blocks from the Meadows and Holyrood Park.
Hey Luck Bubble Tea would be a first for Edinburgh, which already operates two outlets in Aberdeen on George Street and Merkland Road East.
The establishments sell bubble tea as well as a colourful assortment of Asian street food such as jianbing, tokoyaki, and Korean fried chicken.
The premises on South Clerk Street were previously host to Oma's African Cuisine, which dissolved in June of last year.
Create Studio Architecture lodged the plans with Edinburgh Council to instal the new signage, which would feature colourful lettering and a cartoon girl drinking bubble tea in its logo.
Hey Luck would join the ranks of Edinburgh's numerous bubble tea establishments, such as CUPP, which opened its second location on Leith Walk in March 2025.
