Is Walmart remodeling stores in Delaware? Here's what we know
Walmart is making a few changes to stores around the country.
The Bentonville, Arkansas-headquartered company announced plans to update and improve locations across 47 states as part of its "Stores of the Future" project. More than 650 locations will be remodeled this year, and the retail giant plans to build or convert more than 150 stores, it initially said in a January news release.
The major changes coming to most renovated stores will include:
New look: Bigger and "bolder" signage and displays.
More selection: Expanded departments with new items.
Expanded online pickup and delivery: To accommodate the increasing number of online orders.
Pharmacy layout: Wider aisles, new private screening rooms and private checkout areas.
New addition in Delaware: Merck to build $1 billion facility to produce cancer treatment drugs
There is a chance they will be renovated, but we don't know for sure. Walmart is updating 650 stores across 47 states and Puerto Rico, but the retailer only shared a list of stores in five states: North Carolina, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
