Fatal rush-hour collision in Caledon
An OPP cruiser blocks Highway 9 in Caledon after a fatal two-car collision Thu., June 12, 2025. Photo: OPP A two-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 9 at Mount Pleasant Road shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday. 'One driver was pronounced deceased at the scene,' said OPP's Sgt. Joe Brisebois Thursday evening. The other driver was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, he said. Highway 9 between Highway 50 and Mount Pleasant Road was closed during the investigation.

Woman, 25, killed in rollover near Airdrie, Alta.
RCMP was dispatched to Highway 9, northeast of Airdrie, around 4:50 a.m. On June 3 for a reported rollover. (CTV News) A 25-year-old woman died in a rollover near Airdrie, Alta., early on Tuesday morning. RCMP was dispatched to Highway 9, northeast of Airdrie, around 4:50 a.m. for a reported rollover. When officers arrived on the scene, it was found the driver of the vehicle, from Irricana, was dead. Police are investigating the cause of the rollover. 'RCMP sends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,' RCMP said in a news release.

Sask. RCMP on scene of serious collision near Yorkton

(David Prisciak/CTV News) The Saskatchewan RCMP says members from the Yorkton detachment are on the scene of a serious collision on Highway 9 Wednesday, about eight kilometres north of the Highway 9 and Highway 15 junction. RCMP said the highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time on Wednesday. Detours are in place and motorists should expect delays in the area, RCMP said in a news release. Police said no other details are available at this time. Road closure updates can be found on the Highway Hotline.
