Congress postpones rally in Shimla in honour of Pahalgam attack victims
1 2 Shimla: In view of circumstances arising from the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday announced to postpone its state-level 'Samvidhan Bachao' (save Constitution) rally, which was scheduled to be held at Ambedkar Chowk in Shimla on April 26. Congress state president Pratibha Singh said the rally was postponed in honour of the people killed in the terrorist attack on Tuesday. The state Congress will also organise a candle march in Shimla on Friday evening for peace to departed souls, she said. The candle march will proceed from Sher-e-Punjab to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the historical Ridge ground. State Congress in-charge and Rajya Sabha member Rajani Patil, state Congress president Pratibha Singh, chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, deputy chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri, cabinet members, Congress MLAs, and other party leaders will participate in this candle march.

Congress to hold ‘Samvidhan Bachao' rally in Shimla on April 25
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Pratibha Singh on Tuesday announced that a state-level "Samvidhan Bachao (Save the Constitution)" rally would be held at Ambedkar Chowk here on April 25. The state party president mentioned that the Congress state in-charge, Rajani Patil, was visiting Shimla on April 24 and she would also participate in the rally. Briefing the mediapersons after a party meeting at Rajiv Bhawan, the state Congress president said as per the party's national schedule, district-level "Samvidhan Bachao" rallies would also be held in Himachal Pradesh from May 3 to 10, assembly-level rallies from May 11 to 17, and finally, the door-to-door campaign at block level would be held from May 20 to 30. She said these events would be held for a year across the country.
