Bills' Michael Hoecht: Super Bowl title would mean 'everything' to him
Michael Hoecht on what bringing a Super Bowl would mean to Buffalo & #BillsMafia 👀 @WKBW In little surprise, Michael Hoecht gets it. The pass rusher signed with the Buffalo Bills during free agency this offseason. He does have to face a suspension early on next season, but Hoecht is going to be chomping at the bit to get his Bills career going. That's because Hoecht completely understands what the Bills and a potential Super Bowl means to Buffalo. Despite already having won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, it sounds like one with the Bills would be even bigger for Hoecht. That's because Hoecht is a close local to western New York as an Oakville, Ontario, native. Hoecht said during minicamp that bringing a title to Buffalo would be a massive achievement and credited Bills Mafia as his reason why a Super Bowl win would mean so much. Hoecht's explanation can be found in the clip below:

Bills Biggest Weakness Before Draft Revealed
It didn't take long for the Buffalo Bills to address many key holes on the roster this offseason. After reaching the conference title game only to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs this past season, Buffalo feels they are close to true title contention. In order for them to take the next step, though, the Bills needed to get aggressive when it came to adding to their roster. Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports And that is exactly what happened. Advertisement Buffalo added key free agents like Joshua Palmer, Joey Bosa, and Larry Ogunjobi while also extending homegrown talent across the board like Terrel Bernard, Greg Rousseau, and Christian Benford. Yet despite the talented roster they have assembled, there is still key piece still missing for the Bills this offseason. And Bills on SI's Ronnie Eastham believes that weakness can be addressed in the draft. "The Bills added a few solid players along the defensive line this offseason, but no one with game-changer status," Eastham said. "Bosa could be a steal, but his injury history and recent decline in production say otherwise. Hoecht and Oguniobi are role players, but the Bills need someone who can dominate and wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines. Unfortunately, this player may not exist, or Beane will have to hit a home run with a potential pass-rush threat in the draft." If Buffalo can solve this need, it could be the turning point that finally gets them by the Chiefs once and for all. Related: 'Zero Panic' For Bills As Super Bowl Window 'Wide-Open' With Josh

Bills' free agent signings DT Larry Ogunjobi, edge rusher Michael Hoecht draw 6-game PED suspensions
The Buffalo Bills have been extremely active in free agency, especially with bolstering their defense. But two of their new signings will be unavailable for the first six games of the 2025-26 season, general manager Brandon Beane revealed on Friday. Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and edge rusher Michael Hoecht will each be suspended for six games due to positive PED tests. [Yahoo Fantasy Bracket Mayhem is back: Enter for a shot to win up to $50K] Ogunjobi's test results were not yet available when he agreed to a one-year, $8.3 million contract with Buffalo. Once he learned of the positive test, he informed Beane of the results. That caused a delay in the deal being officially signed, according to Beane. But the Bills decided to move forward with the agreement because the market for defensive tackles had thinned out by then. However, Buffalo was aware of Hoecht's PED results and pending suspension before agreeing to a three-year, $21 million deal (with $13.43 million guaranteed). Hoecht told reporters that the positive test was due to him not being "vigilant" about verifying the substances he was taking. New #Bills DT Larry Ogunjobi on his upcoming six-game PED suspension:-Believes it was a tainted supplement-Found out about suspension about the same time he agreed to deal with Bills-He takes full responsibility-BUF opened him with open arms despite suspension #BillsMafia — alex brasky (@alexbrasky) March 14, 2025 Ogunjobi had a similar response, saying he takes "full accountability" for the positive test and believes he took a tainted supplement. Hoecht, 27, compiled 57 total tackles last season with three sacks, four tackles for loss and 23 total pressures. Ogunjobi, 30, tallied 41 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, five tackles for loss and 14 total pressures. Both players can participate in OTAs and minicamps, in addition to training camp. But neither can be in the Bills' facility for the first four weeks of the regular season while serving their suspensions. Ogunjobi and Hoecht join defensive end Joey Bosa, defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and safety Darrick Forrest as free agent signings for the Bills, who also re-signed edge rusher Greg Rousseau, safety Damar Hamlin and linebacker Terrel Bernard.
