Earth Day 2025 events taking place in Central Pennsylvania
EARTH (WTAJ) —April is here and with that comes the annual celebration of Earth Day. This year it will take place on Tuesday, April 22.
Across Central Pennsylvania, local parks, organizations and groups will be holding events that you can join in with. Take a look at some local events and see how you can help the planet.

Earth Day Festival at Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School: Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Seed Planting with the Intermunicipal Recycling Committee (Altoona): Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to noon
Earth Day Celebration at Prince Gallitzin State Park: Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Earth Day at Black Moshannon State Park: Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Earth Day with the Arboretum: Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Earth Day Celebration in the State College Borough: Saturday, April 19 from noon to 4 p.m.
Tree planting at Poe Valley State Park: Saturday, April 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Annual Woodsy Owl Work Day at Parker Dam State Park: Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration at the Elk Country Visitor Center: Saturday, April 26 from noon to 4 p.m.
