Tired of too many ads? go ad free now In a recent interview, Aalim has revealed his fees per session which starts with minimum Rs 1 lakh. However, it can also go above. Aalim said in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, "This is the price for everyone. This is the minimum price, actually. If a person wants Aalim Hakim to cut their hair, Rs 1 lakh is minimum. This is a per-sitting cost. If I'm called for 10 or 15 sittings, then the cost goes up to Rs 10 lakh or Rs 15 lakh. It's a metre down situation. It's not like I'm forcing anybody to pay, but this is my consultation fee.' He further said that he doesn't charge close friends but follows proper paper work with gst of Rs 18,000 for professional assignments. He said, "If they will earn through the project, then I have a right to earn as well." Aalim revealed that clients are also ready to pay more - around Rs 3-5 lakhs. If this were the case, everybody would become as talented as after watching his movies.' Aalim further added that he's worked really hard to be here. "It has taken so much hard work. Nobody remembers who the richest star was five decades ago, but everyone remembers Dilip Kumar. I want people to remember me for my work." Allegations against him surfaced just around the time he returned to India. The makers have dropped him from the project and will now naturally look for a replacement before beginning production." Reportedly, the film will be directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Pratik and Vikramaditya previously worked together in CTRL and web series Jubilee. Actor Rajkummar Rao will headline the biopic. Accusations against Pratik surfaced on social media when Abhinav Singh, a filmmaker known for directing short films, recently accused him of abuse, calling him 'highly manipulative' and 'emotionally abusive' in a post on Instagram. He initially did not name Pratik but urged his female followers to be careful around a cinematographer. In a subsequent post, the filmmaker claimed he received numerous messages from women detailing their experiences, and that's when he named Pratik. Pratik also worked as the cinematographer for Dharma Productions' Homebound. After the allegations emerged, the production house released an official statement. Dharma Productions responded, clarifying that no formal complaints were made against Pratik during the production of the film. Homebound which made history as the only Indian film to be featured at this year's Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, has garnered significant international attention. Mani Ratnam reveals he has threatened to throw actors off buildings: ‘If a 5-year-old can work odd hours…'
Filmmaker Mani Ratnam is all set to entertain audiences with his upcoming film Thug Life. The film marks his reunion with Kamal Haasan after 38 years, and fans are excited to relive their magic on screen. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter India, Mani spoke about how Kamal trusts him and revealed that he had once threatened to throw people off the set if they didn't do what he asked. (Also Read: Mani Ratnam defends Kamal Haasan romancing 28-year-younger Trisha Krishnan in Thug Life) When asked if he is the kind of director who gives his actors a free hand to do whatever they want, Mani said, 'Not everyone. Some people you have to threaten. I've promised people that I'll throw them off the fourth floor if they don't do what I'm asking them to do. Sometimes, you have to tell an actor that if a five-year-old child can work at odd hours, so can they. There's no one solution. But, if you have a good actor, and if what they bring in adds value…' However, Mani admitted that he doesn't like to enact scenes for an actor, as he believes it's not a director's job. He also added that sometimes a good actor could take offence if you show them how to act. The filmmaker further revealed that there were no creative clashes with Kamal Haasan on the set of Thug Life. He revealed that even while working on Nayakan, Kamal trusted him, and said, "It's simple — if it doesn't work, you tell him it doesn't. Even then, he always trusted me. If I say we go this way, he'll go. He believes in you, and if he thinks you know what you're doing, he comes with you. There's no issue at all. Given the fact that he is so talented, I think the more talented the actor is, the more he needs a director. He needs someone from outside to look objectively and be able to draw boundaries a little tighter. It's only these extraordinary talents that can stretch their arms, and you can be fooled by it — so you need to be on your toes." The gangster drama, Thug Life, is co-written by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies. The film stars Haasan alongside Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Rohit Saraf, and Baburaj in key roles. It is scheduled to release in cinemas on 5 June.
