Scotland's Home of The Year: Inside gorgeous Victorian farmhouse in Peterhead

Episode 2 of Scotland's Home of The Year sees the judges head to the North East and Northern Isles. This week, the Scotland's Home of the Year judges travel to the North East and Northern Isles, and view three stunning properties including a modern build in Orkney, a Victorian farmhouse in Peterhead and a contemporary farm steading in Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire. They start with Harbour View - a three-levelled house in Stromness, Orkney which, since 2019, has been home to Simon, Amanda and their cats Peaches and Daisy. With a modern Icelandic feel, the home is built on the site of a former oatcake factory in Stromness harbour and makes the most of its stunning sea views. Next up is an early Victorian former farmhouse in Peterhead. Richmond House is home to painter and decorator Roy who moved into the house with his late wife, Julie, in 2019 with their dogs Arthur, Audrey and Ruby. The couple's shared love of Art Deco style is evident throughout and Roy entered SHOTY as a tribute to his late wife who wanted to apply once the redesign of Richmond House was complete. Finally, the judges head to Hilltop House on the outskirts of Pitmedden in rural Aberdeenshire, home to Chris, Jessica, their son Chase and dogs Enzo and Dino. The couple designed their bright, contemporary house around the original footprint of the farm steading, fusing mid-century and Californian cool style to create their dream home. Now, the judges – interior designers Anna Campbell-Jones and Banjo Beale and architect Danny Campbell - must decide whether Harbour View, Richmond House or Hilltop House will represent the North East and the Northern Isles in the Scotland's Home of the Year grand final. Let's take a look inside the stunning former farmhouse in Peterhead... More On Scotland's Home Of The Year BBC
