The association credited our station with advancing the East Texas community through our collaboration with groups like Young Audiences, Arts for Learning of Northeast Texas.
'The people of Tyler are fortunate to have the benefit of your team's focus on advancing your community by keeping them informed of developments important to their well-being,' Texas Association of Broadcasters (TAB) president Oscar Rodriguez said.
The award is named for TAB's first executive director, Bonner McLane. Our station will be honored among other TAB award nominees at this year's TAB Show in August.
KETK Anchor Isaac Ramirez has served on the board of Young Audiences and News Director Joe Spadea serves on the board as president-elect. The nonprofit helps local children by connecting them with the arts through workshops, performances and more.
Every year, the nonprofit hosts the Arts in Education Awards dinner and KETK produces feature videos for each of the award winners. To learn more, visit Young Audiences of Northeast Texas online.
