Slow and Furious: Patrons scramble out of the way as SUV rolls into Long Island sidewalk eatery
It was a slow-motion mishap. An SUV sent patrons at a Sag Harbor sidewalk restaurant scrambling out of the way when it rolled onto the sidewalk and knocked over chairs and tables, wild video footage shows. The gray 2006 Honda Element appeared to be easing into a parking spot outside Lulu Kitchen & Bar in the upscale Long Island resort village on Monday afternoon — but didin't stop, the clip posted on Instagram by kookhampton shows. Instagram/Hamptonsdan A few stunned patrons quickly jumped out of the way as the vehicle rolled forward and came to a stop against the storefront after shattering the shop's plate-glass window — with the right turn signal on the SUV still blinking. Advertisement Nobody was injured in the bizarre mishap, with Sag Harbor Police Chief Robert Drake telling local outlet it was 'a miracle' that no one was injured in the slow-motion collision. Sag Harbor police did not return calls for comment on the incident, and it is unclear if the driver of the ill-fated Honda was charged or issued citations for the incident. The scene of the mishap is just steps away from Sag Harbor's famed American Hotel, where crooner and actor Justin Timberlake pounded down drinks before getting busted for drunken driving last year.

LPD recover stolen vehicle
Lebanon Police recovered a stolen vehicle Tuesday after a tip from Cookeville Police. On Tuesday evening, CPD informed LPD and Fire Dispatch of a Honda Element stolen from Cookeville that may have been in Lebanon. Officers found the Honda at the Raceway on Sparta Pike, just off of Interstate-40. The driver, Caesar Rafael Navarrete-Verra, 45, of Mt. Juliet was arrested without incident and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, DUI and driving without a license.

Lebanon police recover stolen vehicle, arrest man for DUI
LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Lebanon officers recovered a vehicle that had been reported stolen Tuesday night. Lebanon green lights new aviation museum Lebanon Police & Fire Dispatch had received a tip from the Cookeville Police Department about a Honda Element that had been reported stolen out of Cookeville. Officers eventually found the vehicle at a gas station along Sparta Pike. The driver, a 45-year-old Mt. Juliet man, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. Additionally, he was charged with driving without a license and driving under the influence. Police at impasse in 2020 west Columbus homicide investigation
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The investigation into a 2020 homicide has revealed little new information since a man was shot dead on the West Side. According to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, Columbus police continue to seek leads into the fatal shooting of James Johnson, who was found with gunshot wounds inside a Honda Element on Oct. 20, 2020. Man wanted in 20-year-old Connecticut murder arrested in Dublin Officers arrived at a Sunoco gas station on Sullivant Avenue, where several shell casings were found in the parking lot of the business. A few minutes later, they responded to a shooting call at a United Dairy Farmers on Hague Avenue, where they found Johnson inside his vehicle. The preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects, who remain unnamed, were involved in the shooting at the Sunoco gas station, and they fled the scene in a red and gold Pontiac Montana, which included a woman driving the vehicle. Johnson then reportedly drove to the UDF before police were called. Johnson was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Charges filed after 18-year-old found shot inside carjacked vehicle
ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department have made an arrest after a teenager was found shot to death late Sunday afternoon in a stolen vehicle. According to a police probable cause statement, the carjackings occurred a little before 6 p.m. Sunday evening on the 3900 block of North 19th Street in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood. The carjackings involved a Honda Element and a Chevrolet Equinox. Police said a 63-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint by the five men and forced to hand over her belongings, including the Honda Element. Two of the men took off in the Honda. According to police, the three other suspects later approached a 75-year-old woman at gunpoint while she was sitting inside her Chevrolet Equinox. The three men forced the woman to exit the Equinox before taking off in the vehicle. Both the 63-year-old and 75-year-old women were not injured in the carjackings, police said. Authorities found the Equinox a little before 6:30 p.m., parked at the intersection of Winnebago Street and Minnesota Avenue in the Gravois Park neighborhood of south St. Louis. When officers arrived at the scene, they found an 18-year-old dead from an apparent gunshot wound sitting in the back seat of the Equinox. Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate. Subscribe Now The Honda Element was located around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Cherokee Street, investigators said. The driver sped off when officers attempted a traffic stop. Police pursued the Element until the vehicle became disabled at the intersection of West Florissant and East Taylor avenues. Two occupants in the vehicle took off on foot. Police arrested two people, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old, following a brief foot pursuit. Police recovered two handguns after the chase. Detectives interviewed the 18-year-old, identified as Terrence White, and determined he was responsible for shooting and killing the dead teenager, police said. On Tuesday, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged White with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. White remains jailed without bond.
