India's $1 billion clean fuel gets gateway to Europe as AM Green ties up with Port of Rotterdam
AM Green , backed by the founders of Greenko Group, has partnered with the Port of Rotterdam Authority to establish a dedicated green fuel corridor linking India with Northwestern Europe. The alliance aims to enable annual trade of up to 1 million tonnes of green fuels, such as green ammonia and sustainable aviation fuel, valued at nearly $1 billion. The two sides have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a green energy supply chain that will connect India's emerging green hydrogen production clusters with Europe's largest energy gateway, the Port of Rotterdam. The collaboration will focus on key elements such as supply of bunkering fuels and sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs), as well as planning for critical terminal infrastructure in Rotterdam and along the wider European supply chain. The goal is to enable the safe and efficient distribution of hydrogen-based fuels from India to Europe. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Shubh Aarambh with Honda Shine 100! Honda Learn More Undo Also Read: Adani Green Energy operational renewable energy capacity increases to 14,528.4 MW 'AM Green is pushing its ambitious goal to develop 5,000,000 tonnes of Green Ammonia production capacity by 2030, equivalent to about 1,000,000 tonnes of Green Hydrogen to meet the rising global demand for green fuels, with initial production starting in Kakinada,' the company said in a statement. Live Events Production at AM Green's green ammonia facility in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, is expected to begin in the second half of 2026. The ₹12,500-crore project will include a green hydrogen generation unit and an ammonia conversion plant within a repurposed urea facility the company acquired earlier this year. The first phase targets exports to Europe, with AM Green having already secured offtake agreements with major buyers such as Uniper, Yara, and Keppel to support various green hydrogen applications. 'This partnership is part of our ambitious global growth strategy in green fuels, including 5 million tonnes per annum of green ammonia and 1 million tonnes per annum of SAF,' said Anil Chalamalasetty, founder of AM Green and Greenko Group. 'This collaboration marks a significant milestone in establishing a global carbon-free energy ecosystem. It will enable the seamless movement of green molecules and fuels from India to Europe, reinforcing AM Green's position as a global clean energy transition platform and accelerating industrial decarbonisation globally.' Also Read: JSW Energy to invest Rs 14,000 cr to expand renewable energy capacity of Oxygen Power The Port of Rotterdam is a major European logistics hub, with around 13% of the continent's total energy demand entering through the port. Its infrastructure and geographic location make it a key node in Europe's green energy ambitions. 'With India's vast potential for green hydrogen production, combined with Rotterdam's strategic location and advanced infrastructure, the collaboration will lead to a robust and sustainable green energy supply chain between the two regions,' said Boudewijn Siemons, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority. In January, AM Green had also partnered with global logistics firm DP World to develop advanced green fuel storage and export facilities, both in India and overseas, further strengthening its push into international markets. The partnership with Rotterdam is seen as a significant step toward fulfilling both India's National Green Hydrogen Mission and Europe's decarbonisation goals. With inputs from PTI

The silent pressure: Managing academic anxiety in competitive environments
Academic anxiety builds up quietly. It shows up when students feel they are constantly falling short, even when they are working hard. In highly competitive environments, that feeling becomes common. Tests, rankings, and expectations leave little space for mistakes or slow progress. Some students struggle to keep up. Others keep performing well but carry constant stress. Worry about results, fear of letting others down, and internal pressure can lead to exhaustion, sleep problems, and burnout. These signs are often missed or brushed off. The problem does not go away with time. It grows if left unaddressed. Students begin to think that stress is normal. Some withdraw, others keep pushing themselves until they crash. The pressure may be quiet, but the effects are real. Dealing with academic anxiety means changing how schools, families, and students respond to stress. Small, practical steps can ease the pressure and help students manage their workload without harming their health. What can be done: 1. Set balanced expectations Expecting effort is fair. Expecting perfection all the time is not. Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Shubh Aarambh with Honda Shine 100! Honda Learn More Undo Recognizing steady work, honest attempts, and gradual improvement reduces fear of failure. When students feel they are allowed to make mistakes and still be respected, they try with more focus. 2. Stop unhealthy comparisons Comparing students to siblings, classmates, or friends does more harm than good. Every student learns differently. Regular comparison sends the message that they are always behind, even when they are doing their best. 3. Increase access to mental health support in schools Having trained counselors in schools helps. Students need a space to talk where they will not be judged. These services should be made available to everyone, not just those already in distress. 4. Allow time for rest and hobbies Study schedules that leave no space for rest affect focus and motivation. Breaks, sleep, and physical activity are not distractions—they are necessary for healthy brain function. 5. Make room for open conversations Students feel better when they can speak freely about their worries. Teachers and parents should listen without rushing to solve the problem. Feeling heard reduces the weight of stress. 6. Rethink how success is measured Exams are one way to assess learning, but they should not be the only way. Projects, group discussions, presentations, and regular classroom participation help show understanding without the fear attached to high-stakes tests. 7. Train teachers to notice signs early Changes in energy, focus, or participation can be signs of stress. When teachers are trained to recognize these patterns, they can step in early and connect students to the right resources. 8. Support from parents without pressure Parents play a major role. Many believe pressure builds discipline, but it often builds fear. Encouraging without pushing and showing interest without constantly measuring progress helps the student feel supported. 9. Address digital overload Social media and constant notifications increase pressure. Teens compare themselves constantly online. Helping them set limits on screen time and reduce digital distractions supports better focus and mental rest. 10. Create learning environments that do not rely only on competition Schools that encourage teamwork, peer learning, and discussion give students a chance to grow without always trying to 'beat' someone else. Academic anxiety does not go away on its own. Clear steps, open support systems, and better communication can help students cope without sacrificing their mental health. When schools and families choose to focus on effort, balance, and well-being instead of just outcomes, students gain the space they need to learn with clarity and calm. A healthy student performs better in the long run as they are given the chance to focus and grow at their own pace. Two officers, 3 constables suspended for negligence in duties leading to murders, other crimes
Nagpur: Two officers and a constable from Yashodhara Nagar police station, and two head constable from New Kamptee have been suspended for negligence in their duties, which led to heinous crimes like murders. The action was taken on the orders of deputy commissioner of police Niketan Kadam following a probe into their conduct. The suspended officers are assistant police inspector Tulsiram Dhakulkar, sub-inspector Raosaheb Khairnar, and constable Pritam Thakur of Yashodhara Nagar, and head constables Pravin Manapure and Luvkush Bhanose of New Kamptee. Police sources said the suspensions are linked to lapses in handling two separate murder cases reported in Yashodhara Nagar recently. Senior officials said Khairnar and Thakur were suspended for their negligence in dealing with the complaints related to goon Sohail Chand, who was ultimately murdered at Van Devi Nagar Chowk in broad daylight on Friday. The assailants, who had first sought police help, had gone ahead and taken the law in their own hands. Dhakulkar had been held responsible for dereliction in duty and failing to stop another murder in the past by not taking concrete action in a matter. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Shubh Aarambh with Honda Shine 100! Honda Learn More Undo Additionally, Dhakulkar's involvement in another controversial case raised concerns. Dhakulkar and his investigation team were behind a probe that falsely implicated 43-year-old cloth seller Murtuza Ansari in a narcotics case involving MD drugs. An offence was registered against Ansari at Yashodhara Nagar police station, but he was discharged after CCTV footage showed how the drugs were placed in his vehicle to implicate him in a fake case. Also, Rs16,000 seized from Ansari during the action have not been returned to him to date. This is not the first time Dhakulkar's actions came under scrutiny. A few years ago, while posted at Pachpaoli police station, he was involved in a similar MD drugs case. The high court took serious note of the irregularities, leading to the transfer of five cops to headquarters. Dhakulkar's repeated involvement in such cases has raised serious questions about his conduct. In a related development, head constables Pravin Manapure and Luvkush Bhanose of New Kamptee police station were also suspended for malpractices. The suspensions reflect the police department's efforts to address negligence and misconduct, ensuring accountability among its personnel. The incidents have sparked discussions about the need for stricter oversight and training within the police force to prevent such lapses in the future.
