Campbell trio signs to play at the same college

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – Four standout student athletes from Campbell Memorial High School officially signed to continue their careers in the college ranks. A signing ceremony was held at the high school on Wednesday. A trio of Red Devil basketball players have committed to play at Butler Community College including Josue Rodriguez, Jared Colon, and Teyon Harris. Rodriguez finished his career at Campbell as a 1,000 point scorer, averaging 24.8 points per game his senior season. He finished second in scoring out of all of Ohio teams in Division VI. He likewise set the program record for most points in a game with 45. Colon averaged 17.1 points and 5.6 assists per game last season. He set the program record for most three-pointers in a single game with 12, which ranks him fourth in all of Ohio. He earned Honorable Mention All-Ohio honors along with being named Second Team All-NEO Inland District, and First Team All-MVAC Scarlet Harris averaged 11.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game last season. He was named First Team All-MVAC Scarlet Last but not least, Kaiya Coleman Clark has signed to continue her career with both the Geneva College Volleyball and Track & Field programs. Boardman boys earn runner-up finish at State Bowling

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Boardman boys bowling finished as the runner-up at the 2025 OHSAA Division I Bowling State Tournament at HP Lanes in Columbus. The Spartans bested the field of 16 through three rounds to advance to the final four and then the championship round where they eventually fell to Ashland. Led by coaches John Lucansky and Mark Lias, the team consisted of Austin Rule (12), Don Bagdassarian (12), Caden Wilcox (12), Jessy McCutcheon (11), Chase Realty (11), Brayden Rudge (11) and Ben Hildebrand (10). Individually, McCutcheon took home 2nd Team All-Ohio honors while Rule was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio. The season consisted of an undefeated regular season, All-American Conference championship, Sectional Championship and District Title on the way to a third consecutive trip to state.
