Houston Schools joins other districts in canceling classes due to sickness
HOUSTON, Mo. — The Houston R-1 School District announced today it will be closed on Friday due to a high number of students and staff sick.
According to a Facebook post from the district, not only will classes be dismissed but so will Friday night's Hoop Queen ceremony and Saturday's HHS Hoop Queen dance.
The high school basketball game will be assessed on Friday morning to determine whether it will be canceled or not.
Houston isn't the only school to close due to sickness, though some will have AMI classes. See below:
