Pine Knoll Shores to host 18th Annual Kayak for the Warriors
PINE KNOLL SHORES, N.C. (WNCT) — The Town of Pine Knoll Shores is set to host the 18th Annual Kayak for the Warriors in June. On June 18, local veterans, military members and families will gather to participate in the 3.2 mile kayak and paddle board race. The race will begin at 10am at Garner Park and will move through Bogue Sound and the Pine Knoll Shores canals. Registration is $50 for a single kayak and $100 for a tandem. A t-shirt and lunch is included with every registration. Kayak for the Warriors has been around since 2008 and has since raised over $1 million for the Hope for the Warriors non-profit and it's programs.
