Krispy Kreme nominates former Starbucks and Kraft Heinz executives to board
Krispy Kreme has announced a reshuffle of its board of directors, with a new slate of nominees to guide the company through its ongoing transformation. The refreshed board aims to provide a partnership for the management team as they continue to grow and improve the doughnut company. The nominees, including industry veterans, will be presented for shareholder voting at Krispy Kreme's annual meeting on 17 June 2025. The director nominees bring a wealth of experience from various sectors. Bernardo Hees, a former CEO of Kraft Heinz and Burger King Worldwide, as well as executive chairman at Avis Budget Group, is expected to chair the newly formed strategy and operating committee. Hees said: 'Krispy Kreme is one of the world's most iconic and beloved brands. I look forward to working with Josh, the management team, and fellow directors to drive disciplined global expansion, refranchising efforts, and operational efficiency that results in sustainable value creation.' Patrick Grismer, the former CFO of Starbucks and current audit chair for Panera Brands, is slated to join the audit and finance committee. Easwaran Sundaram, with his background as the former chief digital and technology officer at JetBlue; and Gordon von Bretten, a current senior partner at JAB Holding Company, complete the list of proposed board members. Krispy Kreme CEO Josh Charlesworth said: 'Welcoming Bernardo to our board at a pivotal time for Krispy Kreme will be invaluable as we seek to maximise shareholder value through our two largest growth opportunities: profitable US expansion and capital-light international growth. Establishing a strategy and operating committee that leverages Bernardo's experience will support me and my team as we strive to drive operational and financial success.' Krispy Kreme shareholders will cast their votes on these nominees for a nine-member board. Following the annual meeting, the company anticipates the formation of the strategy and operating committee under Hees' leadership. When will EastEnders be on tonight amid BBC schedule change?
The changes, which will affect a number of programmes, will see the London-based drama air at the earlier time of 6:50pm, instead of the usual 7:30pm. The episode will then be followed by the broadcast of Disney's live-action Dumbo film from 7:20pm until 9pm. From 9pm until 10pm, the latest episode of Paddy and Chris: Road Tripping will be aired to audiences. Krispy Kreme unveils Easter doughnut collection: See the new flavors, when they're available
Easter is almost here and Krispy Kreme has some new doughnuts to celebrate the holiday. The doughnut chain Monday unveiled its "Hoppy Easter" collection that features three new, Easter-themed flavors and a returning favorite, all available in custom Easter dozen boxes. The collection, available beginning April 7 for a limited time at participating Krispy Kreme shops, includes: Bunny Basket Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, decorated with chocolate flavored buttercream and topped with a confectionery bunny. Marshmallow Bunny Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with marshmallow flavored Kreme, dipped in pastel yellow icing and topped with a bunny face and confectionery ears. Bouncing Bunny Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in pastel blue icing and sprinkles, topped with a bouncing bunny. Strawberry Iced Doughnut with Sprinkles: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry flavored icing and pastel sprinkles. The "Hoppy Easter" collection is available in-store and for pickup or delivery via Krispy Kreme's app and website, individually and by the dozen, according to the company. Customers can also get them in a Krispy Kreme 6-count box delivered fresh daily to select retailers. 'We're passing on the eggs this Easter and instead hopping into the holiday with all-new bunny-themed doughnuts that are almost too cute to eat. Almost!" said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's Chief Growth Officer, in a news release. The doughnut chain also announced in late March that it will be opening its first shop in Brazil in late April. The shop, which will be located in São Paulo, will open through a minority interest joint venture with Ipiranga's AmPm, the largest chain of convenience stores in Brazil, according to Krispy Kreme.
