UK seaside town's popular beach is compared to 'dreamy' Australian destination
You don't need to fly halfway around the world to enjoy a dreamy surf-filled beach escape - this one is located in one of the UK's beauty spots and looks just like it belongs in Australia It turns out you don't need to take a trip down under to enjoy the wonders of a sandy Australian beach – there's one based right here in the UK. Many people dream of visiting Australia, mainly for its stunning, pristine beaches. The Hoseasons holiday home team have identified the town's beaches as a destination dupe for Manly, as reported by the Daily Mail. This is partly because its clean coastline is perfect for surfing. Hoseasons said: 'This Cornish seaside town is often cited as the surfing capital of the UK, so if you can't travel to the other side of the world to ride the waves, then Newquay might be the next best thing.' Of course, you won't be able to enjoy Australian temperatures year-round. But if your main priority is getting out in the waves or enjoying the coastline, then Newquay is perfect. Plus, thanks to its southern location Cornwall is known to attract relatively warm temperatures compared to the rest of Britain. So if sunbathing is on your mind, take a trip during summer, where the weather is much milder. Plus, Newquay boasts no fewer than 11 beaches scattered along its coast. Some of the most popular include Fistral Beach, Crantock and Towan Beach. In particular, Fistral Beach is known as a surfing hotspot. It's even been dubbed the 'home of British surfing' for its consistent wild waves and history of practising the sport, with stand-up surfing being introduced from Australia and America during the 1950s. It's also the home of Fistral Beach Surf School, a family-owned business which offers private lessons and surf boards to rent. Better still, it's located just 100 metres from the beach, making it handy spot to pick up a board. One TripAdvisor reviewer declared Fistral to be their 'favourite beach in the world.' They wrote: 'I have visited this beach many times before, the vibe here is just unmatched (especially in the summer)… there's a pizzeria, bar, cafe and surf hire all on the beach front. This beach is a perfect day out for families, couples or even solos like me! It's also an ideal spot for beginners looking to surf. They added: 'It's a great place to go if you're wanting surfing lessons, or to attempt surfing. I always feel very safe in the sea here, the lifeguards are always on duty and looking out for people.'

Change Mexico for the Outer Hebrides Mexico's white sand beaches, palm trees and enticing water make it a dream holiday destination for many. However, if a long haul flight isn't your cup of tea, Hoseasons says you don't need to leave the UK at all to enjoy Mexican-like beaches. The travel experts reveal: 'It may come as a surprise, but many of the sandy shores here look like something straight out of Central America. 'Some of the most beautiful beaches in the Outer Hebrides include Seilebost and Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris and Reef Beach on the Isle of Lewis. I've just come back from a bank holiday weekend break at the Hoseasons Darwin Forest (Matlock, Peak District), and I can't recommend it highly enough. After searching around we decided to book through Hoseasons which was really easy and straightforward. We stayed in the Spinney 3 Spa Lodge and it was absolutely perfect for our family and the dog. The lodge itself sleeps up to six people with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom had a super comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a lovely en-suite shower room. The two twin bedrooms were great for the kids both with their own TV. The luxurious family bathroom was a real highlight with its freestanding bath and separate shower, ideal for relaxing after a day out exploring. The living area was bright and airy with large windows looking out to surrounding forest trees. The comfy sofas and fire were perfect for cosy family evenings and the large flat-screen TV with Chromecast was perfect for when we wanted to chill out. Outside, the gated decking area with seating and sun loungers let us relax in the sunshine, and of course, the private hot tub , which we made good use of every evening. Being pet-friendly was really important to us, and the utility room was ideal for cleaning off muddy boots and paws after our woodland walks. Check-in was at 3pm but we arrived at midday and were able to enjoy the facilities until our lodge was ready. We hired bikes for two days and loved cycling through the scenic trails. The boys had a fantastic time in the swimming pool, while I treated myself to a pedicure at the spa. We also enjoyed a fun game of mini-golf and spent time at the outdoor park, which was great for the kids. We also had some great meals at the restaurant and the Sunday lunch was so good I completely forgot to take a picture. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite, and super helpful, which really made our stay even more enjoyable. The whole place has a lovely welcoming feel, and everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out.
