Grammy winner Shaggy to perform at New York State Fair
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two-time Grammy winner Shaggy will perform at the New York State Fair's Suburban Park at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31.
He is among the top three streamed reggae artists of all time on Spotify, along with Bob Marley and Sean Paul.
Shaggy's first platinum album dropped in 1995 and took over radio waves with his platinum-selling single 'Boombastic.' The song marked his first appearance on the Billboard Top 100 as it peaked at No. 3 overall. His star power continued to climb in 2000 with the release of the six-time platinum-selling record 'Hot Shot.' The album boasted a pair of mega hits, including 'It Wasn't Me' and 'Angel' – both of which reached No. 1 in the United States and were certified platinum three times.
All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer.
