His Majesty leaves Algiers after a two-day state visit
Algiers: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Algiers this evening after a two-day state visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. President Abdelamdjid Tebboune of Algeria led the farewell party for His Majesty the Sultan at Houari Boumediene International Airport. Upon the arrival to the yard of the airport, His Majesty the Sultan and the Algerian President ascended the dais as the Royal anthem of of Oman and the national anthem of Algeria were played. Then, His Majesty shook hands with members of the farewell party from the Algerian side and personnel of the Omani Embassy in Algeria. On his turn, the Algerian President shook hands with members of the Omani official delegation. Upon his departure, His Majesty the Sultan sent a cable of thanks to the Algerian President. In the cable, His Majesty expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality. His Majesty lauded the outcomes of his meeting with the Algerian President, as it was an opportunity toenhance areas of cooperation and promote the distinguished relations in various spheres in a manner that serves interests of the two peoples.

Sultan of Oman reaffirms ties during visit to Algeria
LONDON: The Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik met Algerian President Abdelamdjid Tebboune on Sunday to discuss ties between their nations. At the sultan's residence in the capital, Algiers, the leaders affirmed their commitment to enhancing relations to serve their countries' mutual interests, the Oman News Agency reported. The Omani leader is on a two-day visit to Algeria. On Sunday, Tebboune received him at Houari Boumediene International Airport for an official reception. Several ministers and officials are in the Omani delegation, including Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, and Sayyid Badr Hamad Al-Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Algeria rolls out red carpet for H M Sultan Haitham
Algiers, Algeria – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in Algiers on Sunday on a two-day state visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria led the welcoming party for His Majesty the Sultan and received him at the foot of the aircraft ramp in Houari Boumediene International Airport. His Majesty was also received by senior officials in the Algerian government. His Majesty the Sultan and the Algerian President then ascended the dais of honour as the Royal anthem of Oman and the national anthem of Algeria were played. This was followed by His Majesty the Sultan inspecting a guard of honour, while an artillery unit fired a 21-gun salute. His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with members of the welcoming party from the Algerian side and personnel of the sultanate's embassy in Algeria. On his turn, the Algerian President shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan. Then, President Tebboune escorted His Majesty to a cordial meeting. At the outset of the meeting, the Algerian President reextended his welcome to His Majesty the Sultan, who expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him. During the meeting, the two leaders held cordial talks and reviewed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries. On this visit, His Majesty the Sultan is being accompanied by an official delegation comprising H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nuamani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Dr Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health, and Saif bin Nassir al Badaai, Ambassador of Oman to Algeria. Bilateral meeting His Majesty the Sultan and President Tebboune held a bilateral meeting at the former's place of residence in Algiers on Sunday. At the meeting, the two leaders underlined the distinguished relations between Oman and Algeria and the fraternal ties between their peoples. They also affirmed keenness to promote these relations in a way that serves joint interests. On Sunday evening, President Tebboune hosted a dinner in honour of His Majesty the Sultan.
