Kuwait edge Al-Arabi to lift 10th Crown Prince Cup title
KUWAIT: Kuwait Sports Club clinched the Crown Prince Cup for the 10th time in their history after a dramatic 1-0 victory over Al-Arabi SC on Monday night at Jaber International Stadium. The win adds to Kuwait SC's impressive season, having also secured the Zain Premier League title for a record 20th time.
The final match was held under the patronage of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who attended the event. The evening began with a dazzling laser show and performances by singers Houda Boftain and Nasser Al-Meshari, while young men dressed in both teams' uniforms showcased their football handling skills.
In contrast to previous finals, the match was relatively open from the start, with both teams eager to score early. Al-Arabi dominated the opening 10 minutes and tried to capitalize on Kuwait's errors, but their finishing lacked precision.

Kuwait SC gradually improved toward the end of the first half, creating three chances, none of which were converted. Despite some errant passes, Kuwait's experienced squad remained composed.
Al-Arabi regained control in the second half and were awarded a penalty in the 64th minute after a foul by Kuwait defender Arsen on Al-Arabi's Hamza Khaba.
However, goalkeeper Saud Al-Houshan saved Khaba's attempt to keep the score level. With the match ending 0-0 in regulation, the game moved into extra time. Both teams exchanged attacks in the first and second extra periods, but the deadlock remained until the final minute when Kuwait SC was awarded a penalty. Yahya Jubran calmly converted the spot-kick to seal the win.
The victory marks Kuwait SC's 10th Crown Prince Cup title, reinforcing their dominance in Kuwaiti football this season.
