Akshay Kumar is gearing up to bring back the laughs with the fifth installment of his beloved comedy franchise, Housefull 5. After much anticipation, a new report suggests that the trailer for the film is all set to drop next week on May 27, 2025. The promotional campaign so far — featuring a high-octane teaser and chartbuster tracks like Laal Pari and Dil E Nadaan — has already built up impressive buzz around the film.
While some industry insiders initially questioned the decision to launch the trailer so close to the film's release, a source close to the production emphasized that producer Sajid Nadiadwala knows exactly what he's doing. The teaser hinted at the outrageous fun that awaits, revealing that Housefull 5 is set aboard a luxurious cruise ship, and takes a wild turn when a murder disrupts the vacation vibes mid-sea.
Both songs released so far showcase the film's extravagant scale and entertainment value. But according to the source, it's the upcoming trailer that will truly shine a spotlight on the film's core strength — its laugh-out-loud comedy. 'From May 27 onwards, the promotions will go full throttle," the insider said. 'It'll be Housefull mania everywhere. This is Bollywood's only comedy franchise to reach five installments, and both the makers and cast are banking on the audience's continued love for it."
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 features a star-studded ensemble that includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Dino Morea, Chitrangda Singh, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, and Nikitin Dheer. With the story and screenplay penned by Sajid Nadiadwala — who also serves as the producer — the film is set to hit theatres on June 6, 2025.
