Despite alleged concerns from her family, Emma Bradley chose to settle down with 51-year-old Stephen, and the couple recently welcomed a daughter named Eden. Their baby girl will never meet her infamous grandparents - Fred died by suicide in 1995 while awaiting trial for 12 murders, and Rose is currently serving a life sentence for the rape, torture, and murder of 10 women and girls. in an update, Stephen said he has since severed all contact with his mother. ‌ Emma's family reportedly expressed alarm over Stephen's criminal past. He previously served time for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, for which he was convicted of seven counts of underage sex. West was jailed for nine months in 2004 after admitting sex with the teen, and getting her pregnant. He then forced her to have an abortion. ‌ He was prevented from working with girls and put on the sex offenders register. Stephen has acknowledged the darkness in his background, once saying, "There's a bit of my dad in me." But Emma and Stephen are head over heels in love, and planning to marry him this August at the five-star Celtic Manor hotel in Newport, where an exclusive 2025 wedding package starts at £5,500 for 50 guests, plus £105 per additional person. The couple now live together in Abbeymead, Gloucester - just five miles from 25 Cromwell Street, the infamous 'House of Horrors' where Fred and Rose committed their crimes. ‌ After modelling for publications such as Nuts and Zoo in her early twenties, Emma has transitioned to a career in healthcare and now works as a nurse at Gloucester Royal Hospital. She previously dated public figures such as ex-Arsenal footballer Paul Merson and singer Dane Bowers. Following reports that Rose may be in poor health at HMP New Hall in West Yorkshire, Emma told The Sun that neither she nor Stephen are in contact with her. 'Stephen doesn't want to say anything because his main priority is the little ones,' she said. 'He is adamant, at this time of his life he's got a young family to protect." Emma and Stephen's children 'don't know about the family history'. Emma believes they are "old enough to be aware but too young to understand". ‌ "I have my own family and children now and for me, it's all about protecting them," Stephen said in a May 2025 interview. "My kids don't know about the family history. My only concern is my own children." On July 23, 1994, Stephen married his 18-year-old girlfriend Andrea Davis at St George's Church, Brockworth, Near Gloucester. However, it is not known when they split. He has two children from a previous relationship.

Mum scalded son's genitals and dumped body in freezer before eerie Facebook post

WARNING, DISTRESSING CONTENT: A brother and sister were tortured and beaten to death by their own mother Mitchelle Blair before the bodies were dumped in a freezer - but the shocking crime went unnoticed for years It is approaching 10 years since mum-of-four Mitchelle Blair was sentenced to life in prison for torturing and killing two of her children in separate attacks. On both occasions, she dumped the bodies in the deep freezer of her apartment, before carrying on as normal. She pleaded guilty to her sickening crimes and speaking to the court, she said: 'I don't feel no remorse for the death of them demons.' The victims were Stoni Blair, 13, and her brother, Stephen Berry, who was just nine, and below, we take a look back at the disturbing case. ‌ 'House of Horrors' Mitchelle Blair was living in an apartment in Detroit, Michigan, when she was served an eviction notice – that uncovered unimaginable horror. ‌ She had not been paying rent and a team arrived on March 24, 2015, to clear the flat. However, two of Blair's children, Stoni and Stephen, were found in the white freezer that was kept in the family living room. They had been there for years. Blair claimed responsibility – saying she did what she did because the deceased children allegedly sexually abused her youngest son, something which was never proven. The mum did not witness the alleged molestation. She also failed to contact the authorities, and instead, took matters into her own hands. Little Stephen was the first to be tortured. In August 2012, his mum poured hot water on his genitals while he was in the shower. She also punched and kicked him and strangled him with a belt after making him drink Windex. A bag was placed over his head until he lost consciousness. The torture reportedly went on for two weeks before his eventual death. Stoni was killed almost nine months later after she reportedly said she did not like her siblings. Blair subsequently strangled her little girl with 'a black T-shirt and suffocated her with a plastic bag'. ‌ Stephen's cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma while his sister died of blunt trauma to the head. After killing Stoni, she forced her other daughter, then 17, to 'entomb' the body in the freezer next to Stephen's corpse. Before their deaths, Blair would reportedly batter the kids and burn them with irons inside the apartment. ‌ Court Shortly before Blair was arrested for her heinous crimes, she brazenly wrote on Facebook: 'There is no greater blessing than being called Mom.' While pleading guilty to killing her children, Blair, found competent to stand trial, told the court: 'I don't regret none of this.' She claimed she intended to kill Stoni in 2013 but did not set out to do the same to Stephen when he died in 2012. Blair also had two other kids, a son and a daughter, and her surviving boy reportedly told a social worker he was once whipped by a cord and his sister was struck with a hammer. ‌ Prison In July 2015, Blair was sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing two of her kids. This was after pleading guilty to two counts of felony murder, two counts of premeditated murder and one count of torture. Wayne County Circuit Judge Dana Hathaway said she formed a 'house of horrors' before adding: 'I do pray that your remaining children will recover from what they saw and endured in that household. 'They lived in terrible fear of you. And I find that just so sad in this case. After all is said and done, you imposed the death penalty on your own children.' Blair, who will never be freed, was reportedly serving her sentence inside the Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility in Ypsilanti. There, many unsavoury incidents have been reported involving her, including using a Pringles can to chuck urine and faeces into the face of a corrections officer. She also reportedly hit an officer in the arm and stomach in a separate incident.

The Horrific Crimes Of Fred And Rose West—The Truth Behind ‘A British Horror Story'

Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story. A still of Rose West and Fred West from Fred and Rose ... More West: A British Horror Story. Netflix's new documentary Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story explores the case of one of the most prolific serial killer duos in British history. The husband-and-wife pair were accused of committing some of the most gruesome crimes imaginable, targeting their own children and vulnerable women in their community. In 1994, police in Gloucester, England, were alerted to Fred and Rose's horrific acts after what began as a disturbing family 'joke.' Social services had informed police of a chilling rumor shared by the couple's children: If they misbehaved, they'd end up 'under the patio' like their sister Heather, who had mysteriously vanished in 1986. The three-part docuseries features more than 107 police interview tapes and 50 hours of interrogation to shed light on what happened to at least 12 women who were senselessly murdered by the Wests. Read on to learn what Fred and Rose West did, how they were caught, and the horrors police ultimately found buried behind the gates of their home at 25 Cromwell Street. Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story. A still of Rose West from Fred and Rose West: A British ... More Horror Story. Fred and Rosemary West were a married British couple living in Gloucester, England, with their ten children. Their relationship began in early 1969 when 27-year-old Fred met 15-year-old Rose at a bus stop. She soon left her job at a bakery to move in as a full-time nanny to Fred's children and gave birth to their first child, Heather, in 1970. Fred later described their relationship as two people acting 'as one.' On police tapes featured in Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story, he said, 'I trained Rose to do what I wanted. That is why our marriage worked out so well. […] She just blended into my way of living." Before meeting Rose, Fred was married to Catherine "Rena" Costello, with whom he had two daughters, Charmaine and Anne Marie. After Rena left him, Fred hired 18-year-old Ann McFall to help care for the children, but she mysteriously disappeared in 1967. In 1971, while Fred was in prison for 'motoring offences and theft,' his daughter Charmaine vanished. That same year, Rena also disappeared, according to ABC AU. One year later, Fred and Rose got married and moved into what would later be known as the 'House of Horrors' at 25 Cromwell Street. The couple had more children and isolated them from the outside world. "We lived in a vacuum at Cromwell Street. No-one was allowed in without Dad's or Rose's permission, not even our playmates from school," Anne Marie, who said she was sexually abused by her father, wrote, according to the Australian news outlet. Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story Fred and Rose West were accused of the rape, torture, and murder of at least 12 people over more than two decades, crimes they committed to fulfill their sexual fantasies. Their victims included their own children, Fred's ex-wife, former nannies, and vulnerable women – many of whom had no guardians. In 1973, they were convicted of abducting and sexually abusing 17-year-old Caroline Owens, a nanny who escaped and reported them to police. The couple was fined £25 each at the time. But later that year, their crimes escalated. On April 20, 1973, Lynda Gough became the first known sexually motivated murder the couple committed together. Over time, Fred and Rose would go on to murder at least eight more women, many of them subjected to the worst kind of abuse before their deaths, according to ABC AU. Ann McFall, Catherine Rena Costello, Charmaine West, Lynda Gough, Carole Ann Cooper, Lucy ... More Partington, Therese Siegenthaler, Shirley Hubbard, Juanita Mott, Shirley Anne Robinson, Alison Chambers, Heather West Fred eventually confessed to killing 12 people, though the true number may be higher. His first suspected victim was Ann McFall, who disappeared in 1967 while pregnant with Fred's child. In 1968, 15-year-old Mary Bastholm vanished under similar mysterious circumstances. (In 2021, police searched a café cellar for her remains, but her disappearance remains unsolved.) Nine sets of remains were found buried on 25 Cromwell Street, including Heather West (Fred and Rose's daughter), Charmaine West (Fred's daughter with Rena), and Shirley Robinson (a tenant who was eight months pregnant with Fred's child). Other known victims include runaways or women without guardians: Alison Chambers, Thérèse Siegenthaler, Shirley Hubbard, Lucy Partington, Juanita Mott, Lynda Gough, and Carole Ann Cooper. Some remains were found buried in nearby fields in Kempley, including those of McFall and Rena Costello. Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story - Production Still Image The investigation began in 1992 after an anonymous tip regarding the sexual abuse of one of their daughters. Anne Marie, who had run away from home, told police about the abuse she saw and endured in the home, according to ABC AU. As detailed in her autobiography, Anne Marie told police about her missing sister, Heather, saying she had 'looked for since the day she vanished.' (She later retracted her statement.) Then came the chilling "joke" that turned out to be true after all. One day, one of the siblings said something like, 'Suppose Dad killed Heather and buried her in the garden?' Mae West said it was a joke, but the more the children thought about it, the more they 'started to wonder if – just possibly – it could be true.' Eventually, the comments about Heather were overheard by social workers, prompting the police to get involved. On February 24, 1994, police executed a search warrant at 25 Cromwell Street. When asked about Heather, Fred initially claimed his daughter had moved to Birmingham. But the next day, when police returned to question Rose, Fred confessed to Heather's murder. In the following months, Fred confessed – then recanted his confession – to several of the murders at different moments in the investigation. Fred initially tried to protect Rose, claiming she knew nothing about the murders. On January 1, 1995, he died by suicide in prison, a month before the pretrial was set to begin, according to Netflix's Tudum. Rose pleaded not guilty to ten counts of murder, with her defense team claiming she had been manipulated and was unaware of Fred's crimes. However, witnesses – including Caroline Owens – testified that Rose directly participated in the abuse and violence. Owens said during trial that she was kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and held against her will by both Rose and Fred, who threatened to kill her. One neighbor said in A British Horror Story that Rose admitted she would join Fred in searching for vulnerable victims. Because she was a woman in the passenger seat, it was easier to lure victims inside. The trial lasted more than a month, and Rose West was found guilty of ten murders. She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, becoming the second woman in UK's modern history to be given that sentence, per ABC AU. Rose is currently serving her life sentence at HM Prison New Hall. In 1996, 25 Cromwell Street was demolished. As of March 2024, the surviving West children are still in touch. Mae West told The Daily Mail UK they have "stuck together" in the aftermath of their parents' horrific crimes. "Sometimes I feel, 'It's all right for [Rose]'," Mae West said. 'She's had counselling, she's done a degree in English; every course she's been offered she's said 'yes' to. She has a full life [of] hobbies, gym, sewing, cookery. She lives in a bubble.' Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story is streaming on Netflix. Watch the official trailer below.

Thousands of passengers stranded after theft grounds trains to halt

Cable theft forced trains to stop in central Spain, upending the Monday commute for thousands of passengers. Thieves wreaked havoc on the high-speed line between Madrid and Seville after stealing vital cable from the signalling system across four locations. The theft happened late yesterday evening, affecting dozens of trains between Spain's capital and Andalucia during peak return travel after the Labour Day weekend. Thousands of passengers were eagerly waiting for updates after spending hours on the station floors and trying to get information from rail staff. Footage shows frustrated passengers gathering at Madrid's Atochat station today to try find out what was happening with their trains. Renfe, the train operator, told passengers to not arrive too early to avoid further crowds. One passenger posted on X that his train was scheduled to leave Sevilla shortly before 9pm yesterday. Instead, the train arrived to Madrid at 6.3am today. He claimed they spent '10 hours on a train that ran out of food and water after half an hour.' A typical train journey takes between the cities usually takes just under three hours. Alberto Valero, a tourist from Mexico, told the AP news agency him and his family had spent hours at Madrid station due to the issue. He said: 'We're here with tourists from everywhere — France, Portugal. 'Everyone is at a loss for what to do because of the total disarray. More Trending ADIF, the company owning Spain's railway infrastructure, said on X the theft happened at four points on the line in Toledo. It hoped services to resume from around 9.30am between Madrid, Seville, Malaga and Granada. Today's train chaos comes after life in Spain and Portugal was severely disrupted last week after massive power outages lasting for days. At least five people were killed in the unprecedented blackout, which turned Madrid dark as the Spanis grid lost 60% of its power, with national emergency declared.
