Kim Soo-hyun resurfaces with new legal action: YouTuber faces jail time and Dh51k for stalking and false claims
Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Goldmedalist, has issued a formal statement regarding legal action against Kim Se Eui, the operator of the YouTube channel HoverLab Inc., for violating the Stalking Punishment Act. According to the official statement, GOLDMEDALIST and the actor have filed an additional complaint and accusation against Kim Se-eui today. This follows earlier legal action initiated on April 1, 2025, when the agency and Kim Soo-hyun first filed a complaint against Kim Se Eui for repeatedly spreading false and defamatory information about the actor. These actions were deemed to constitute stalking under South Korean law. The authorities quickly took action, and by April 22, 2025, they had determined that Kim Se Eui's behaviour qualified as stalking. As a result, they requested a "provisional measure" to stop the individual's actions. The Seoul Central District Court granted the request the following day, April 23, 2025, issuing a court order for Kim Se Eui to cease the harmful behavior. Despite being officially notified of the court's decision on April 24, which clearly prohibited any further actions that were deemed to be stalking, Kim Se Eui has allegedly continued to spread false information about Kim Soo-hyun through his YouTube platform. Kim Se Eui's actions, in direct violation of the court order, now subject him to criminal punishment under Article 20, Paragraph 2 of the Stalking Punishment Act. The law states that offenders can face a sentence of up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won (approximately $14,000). In response to this ongoing issue, GOLDMEDALIST and Kim Soo Hyun have once again moved forward with additional legal action. In March, the actor came under fire for his relationship with Kim Sae-ron, with YouTubers alleging that she was a minor when they were dating. The actor also faced accusations of pressuring her with debt, all of which he denied in a tearful press conference.

Kim Soo-hyun's agency denies dating late actress Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor
South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship, but only after she became a legal adult, his agency Gold Medalist clarified on Friday, March 14. In a statement published by Soompi, the agency addressed rumors from YouTube channel HoverLab Inc., which alleged that the two dated when Sae-ron was still a minor. Gold Medalist refuted this, stating their relationship began in the summer of 2019, after she reached adulthood, and ended in the fall of 2020. 'All the photos presented as evidence that Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor were taken when she was already an adult,' the agency stated, denying claims that any photos were from 2016. The agency also dismissed allegations that Soo-hyun sent love letters to Sae-ron during his military service in 2018, explaining that the letters were sent to close acquaintances. Gold Medalist said it had planned to release a formal response next week and take legal action against HoverLab. However, it decided to issue a statement sooner due to Soo-hyun's reported psychological distress over claims linking him to Sae-ron's passing. Authorities ruled that Sae-ron died in February from a self-inflicted death.

Kim Soo Hyun's agency to address allegations in official statement
Gold Medalist, the agency representing South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, is preparing to release an official statement in response to recent allegations involving the star. As reported by Soompi on Thursday, the agency confirmed that the statement will be issued next week, though a specific date has not been disclosed. Gold Medalist stated that they intend to set the record straight and counter unfounded rumors with a clear and substantiated position. 'We sincerely apologize for the prolonged concern and appreciate your understanding as we work to prevent further misinformation,' the agency added. The controversy stems from claims made by YouTube channel HoverLab Inc., which alleged that Kim Soo Hyun harassed the late actress Kim Sae Ron. Gold Medalist has denied accusations that both the agency and Kim Soo Hyun conspired with YouTuber Lee Jin Ho to harass Kim Sae Ron, dismissing them as 'completely false and baseless.' 'The allegations suggest that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a romantic relationship starting when she was 15 years old, that our agency mishandled the fallout of Kim Sae Ron's DUI case, and that a manager from our company had close ties with YouTuber Lee Jin Ho,' the agency stated. Gold Medalist condemned these claims as 'malicious' and 'entirely fabricated,' adding that they are considering legal action against HoverLab Inc. for spreading misinformation. The agency had previously denied dating rumors in 2024 after Kim Sae Ron shared an old photo of herself with Kim Soo Hyun on Instagram Stories. Kim Soo Hyun is widely recognized for his roles in Queen of Tears , It's Okay to Not Be Okay , and My Love from the Star.
