Christine McGuinness reveals surprise opinion on Paddy McGuinness divorce
Christine McGuinness reveals surprise opinion on Paddy McGuinness divorce The 37-year-old model married former 'Take Me Out' host Paddy, 51, in 2011 but they split in 2022 The 37-year-old model married former 'Take Me Out' host Paddy, 51, in 2011 but they split in 2022 Christine McGuinness doesn't think her marriage to Paddy McGuinness failed just because it ended in divorce. The 37-year-old model married former 'Take Me Out' host Paddy, 51, in 2011 but they split in 2022 with the comedian continuing to live at the family home with his ex-partner and their three children, 11-year-old twins Leo and Penelope and eight-year-old daughter Felicity. The former couple's divorce was finalised in October 2024, and although their romance ended Christine considers the fact they had 16 happy years together to mean that ultimately it was a successful relationship. Appearing on the new episode of the 'How To Fail with Elizabeth Day' podcast, she said: "With the divorce, I think, again, a lot of people think that if a marriage ends that it's failed and I don't believe that at all. "We actually had a good 16 years we were together. I still lived with him. I met him when I was 19 and we still live together and we've been separated for three years and it was one of those things." Christine says Paddy's decision to remain at the family home to be present for their kids - all of whom have been diagnosed with autism - proves how strong their romantic relationship was and proves the bond they still share. Article continues below She added: "I remember when we put out the statements about us separating we were both nervous about what the reaction was going to be publicly. But for me, it was the first time where I really thought, OK, I am going to do this because we almost have to explain, because we're in the public eye, people expect that, and it's part of being in the public eye. You have to take the pros and the cons with it. We'd done it and that was the first time where I went, putting this statement out is going to be a lot for us mentally and emotionally to let everybody else know, but it's more important that we live out our truth. "We are literally just saying, what is going on and that's the truth. "We're divorcing but we're OK and we are still living together with the children and we're all right so it's challenging at times, but we need to not worry about what other people think because this feels right. If it feels right to us, that's what we need to do. "We both know that we're we can date and we're allowed to. We're adults and we're single, so we can, but we also know that we don't need to overshare any information about anything because we are still exes and we are still living in the same house." Christine - who has since dated women, and admitted that she had lesbian experiences when she was younger - revealed that she and Paddy live in separate wings in their house but come together for the children. She said: "We have different wings. I always joke about [that] he is in the West Wing! Article continues below "We completely have our own spaces on the top floor of the house. I'm on the floor with the children and yeah, it works and works for us as a family because we don't have to move the children. They've got that continuity and it's consistent. When they come home from school, they know where they're going to. They've got their own rooms, their clothes, the computers, everything they need is in that house, and it doesn't matter too much whether it's mummy at home or daddy at home. "With our schedules being all over the place, it doesn't affect them."

Simon Cowell considered taking $150,000 to judge a couple having sex
Simon Cowell admitted to almost accepting $150,000 (£113,000) to judge a couple having sex. The X Factor judge, 65, recently shared that he still worries about money and rubbished his estimated net worth. One way he could have raked in extra cash in the past is with this bizarre proposal, which he opened up about on the How To Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast. Despite how outrageous the request was, the Pop Idol icon said he almost accepted it. 'One time — this is a true story — I was in a restaurant and this guy comes up to me and he said, 'I love your show', Thank you very much. 'Will you take a picture?' Sure. 'This is my wife.' Nice to meet you.' At this point, Simon said the conversation became a lot more intimate with the couple offering him an indecent proposal, asking the infamously cutting judge to assess their sex life in person. 'I went, are you winding me up?' he continued. 'And they said, 'No, we'll pay you.' Well, how much? And it was actually a lot of money. And I thought, do I? No, I just can't do it.' When asked how much the couple offered, he claimed they were set to pay him $150,000. Elsewhere in the episode, the Britain's Got Talent judge opened up about his concerns over his earnings over the years. 'I always worry about money because I think you have to in a way. You think about Covid as an example. No one could have predicted Covid. 'I remember reading it for the first time on a website, and I don't read a lot of stuff on social media, but I'd heard about it, so I was curious. 'Second day, the story got bigger to a point where I actually phoned my partner and I said 'I don't like the look of this, I have a horrible feeling it's going to be like that movie Contagion, and I think we need to get all of our shows into production around the world quicker this year'. And we did. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 'And when it happened, it was obviously worse than I could have imagined. 'When you think about that, the wars, and everything else, the instability, what is safe? Is it gold, cash, stocks? I don't think anything's safe any longer. I guess your house. 'Someone did actually say to me once – thank god – 'live in your money'. And it was really good advice, i.e, enjoy it, and be happy with it, but understand that the world is precarious.' More Trending When told by Elizabeth that his estimated net worth was around £500 million, he denied this figure and said that in reality, he was 'not even close' to that amount. 'Oh God, it's not that. I'm not even close to that. I'm being serious. I'm not. 'I've made a lot, I'm not going to lie. I've made a bit of money, yes, but not that much, no.' Though he admitted he thought he was rich, he did say he doesn't 'yearn for what he thought he wanted a few years ago.' Got a story? Simon Cowell tuned down $150k to judge couple in the bedroom
Simon Cowell turned down $150,000 to judge a couple's sex life. The 65-year-old music mogul was enjoying a meal in a restaurant when some fans came to compliment his work, and he was left stunned when the encounter took a bizarre turn with an outrageous request. Speaking on the 'How To Fail with Elizabeth Day' podcast, he said: "I was in a restaurant and this guy comes up to me, and he said, 'I love your show.' 'Thank you very much. 'Will you take a picture?' Sure. 'This is my wife.' Nice to meet you. "'Would you judge us having sex?' "I'm like, 'Are you winding me up?' They went, 'No. We'll pat you.' "It was a lot of money. I thought, 'Do I? No, I just can't do it.' "It was 150 grand. "It was just so bizarre." Simon - who has 11-year-old son Eric with partner Lauren Silverman - said fans would ask him to be rude to them, as opposed to a photo or an autograph. Asked by Elizabeth, 46, what people would ask Simon to say to them in the street, the 'Britain's Got Talent' judge replied: "People used to ask me to be rude to them. "I mean, literally, they would come up and say, particularly in America, 'Would you be rude to me?' "I'm like, no.'" Despite his global success, Simon shut down reports that his fortune is worth £500 million and he feels uncomfortable around extreme wealth. He said: "Oh God, it's not that. I'm not even close to that. I'm being serious, I'm not. "Look, I'm not going to lie, I've made a bit of money, yes, but not that much! "I've definitely got enough. I don't need any more. I don't yearn for what I thought I wanted a few years ago ... I did start to kind of mix with some of those people [who own yachts and private planes] a couple of years ago. I hated it." The 'America's Got Talent' judge admitted he "always" panics about money. Simon added: "I always worry about money because I think you have to in a way." The star - who launched the careers of One Direction and Little Mix on 'The X Factor' - has an upcoming Netflix show, believed to be called 'The Midas Touch', where he hopes to find the next biggest boy band, and Simon said it was "one of the scariest things" he has done. He explained: "What gives me the right to judge people if I'm not signing artists, for instance, at the moment? "I thought, OK, I'm going to do something to create a band, very publicly ... to see whether I can do it again or not ... there [hasn't been] a band like One Direction or Little Mix for so many years, why not do it again? "And honestly, it was one of the scariest things I've ever done. "But I had to do it. I think I have [found the band]. I don't want to give it away."
