ME&CA Teams to Compete in Huawei ICT CompetitionFinal
Home » Tech Value Chain » Global Brands » ME&CA Teams to Compete in Huawei ICT Competition Global Final Following the conclusion of the 2024–2025 Middle East and Central Asia (ME&CA) ICT Competition regional finals in Riyadh last December, Huawei has announced that 16 winning teams from nine countries are set to compete at the Huawei ICT Competition Global Final. The global event will take place in May 2025 in Shenzhen, China. Huawei confirmed that the selected teams include students who excelled in the Network, Cloud, and Computing tracks during the regional stage. These students will now compete against international teams for global awards, medals, Huawei products, trophies, and e-certificates. Phillip Gan, President of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia, stated that the competition plays a vital role in regional ICT talent development. He added that ME&CA teams have consistently performed well at the global level and expressed confidence in this year's participants. The delegation includes grand prize winners from Jordan (Network track) and Lebanon (Cloud and Computing tracks). First-prize winners from Kazakhstan (Network and Computing) and Iraq (Cloud) are also set to participate. Huawei further confirmed that an instructor from Iraq will join the delegation, in recognition of the role educators play in mentoring future ICT professionals. Now in its ninth global edition, the Huawei ICT Competition has become a key platform for discovering and nurturing young digital talent. The 2024–2025 ME&CA competition saw record participation, with over 31,000 students from 640 universities and colleges across 19 countries. Huawei reaffirmed that the competition continues to strengthen the region's position in global digital innovation and talent development.
