1 dead, 2 arrested after deadly Northeast El Paso stabbing
Two men were arrested after a man was fatally stabbed during a fight that wounded two other men in a Northeast El Paso neighborhood over the weekend, police officials said on Monday, May 12.
Hugo Benitez, 35, died at a hospital following a fight that began over an argument among neighbors over loud music by a live band during a family party at a home, police spokesman Officer Adrian Cisneros said in a news release.

The stabbing occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, when neighbors got into a fight during a family gathering at a home in the 5300 block of Dalton Avenue near Irvin High School, Sgt. Robert Gomez, a police spokesman, said.
Ransford Julian Myers, 24, was arrested on a murder charge and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was jailed on a $2.5 million bond, police stated.
Michael Gary Myers, 56, was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and jailed on a $500,000 bond on each count, police stated.
Both men remain incarcerated at the El Paso County Jail in Downtown. Neither man has an attorney listed for them in online court records.
A live band was playing at the home during a family party on Mother's Day weekend when Ransford and Michael Myers entered the property to confront the homeowners about the noise and a fight broke out, the police news release stated.
Benitez, Rafael De La Rosa, 31, and Raul Barrios, 36, all of Northeast El Paso, were stabbed during the fight, police said.
Two of the wounded were transported to a hospital and one person was treated at the scene and released, Gomez said.
The arrests were made following an investigation by detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit.
