Ohio House passes human trafficking bill
(WKBN)- The Ohio House has passed a bill to toughen penalties for human trafficking.
The Human Trafficking Prevention Act raises the minimum prison sentence from 10 to 15 years.
For cases involving minors or people with developmental disabilities, it increases to up to 25 years to life.
Local representative Nick Santucci co-sponsored the bill.
It now moves to the Senate.
