Hurlburt Field Air Force base to require REAL ID for visitors
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Hurlburt Field Air Force base officials will require visitors to present a REAL ID beginning on May 7.

According to an Air Force news release, if a visitor does not have the ID, they can use a non-compliant driver's license along with another form of identification to enter the base.
The DoD components will accept different combinations of identification, including:
Transportation Worker Identification Credential, along with a driver's license
Veteran Health Identification Card, along with a driver's license
Birth certificate, social security card and driver's license
There are other acceptable IDs to get onto the base, including:
DOD common access cards
DOD uniformed services ID cards — military retiree or dependent IDs
Local DOD access cards and passes — i.e. a Defense Biometric Identification System card or visitor passes
REAL ID compliant driver's licenses, enhanced driver's licenses, or nondriver's identification cards issued by a state, territory, possession or the District of Columbia
U.S. or foreign passport or passport cards
Federal personal identification verification cards
Non-federal PIV-interoperable cards
Any Florida resident trying to gain access to the Gator Lakes Golf Course will also need a REAL ID to get a Hurlburt Field Golf Affidavit.
'Visitors requesting access without REAL ID-compliant credentials or an acceptable alternative will be denied unescorted access to Hurlburt Field,' read the release.
