1 seriously injured after fall at Zion National Park
ZION NATIONAL PARK, Utah (ABC4) — One person was seriously injured in a fall at Zion National Park on Thursday, according to Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue. 'Yesterday, our station 49 crew responded to the Watchman Helispot within Zion National Park at the request of park rangers,' Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue posted on social media Friday. 'The response was in support of a patient who had sustained serious injuries from a fall.' Courtesy of Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue A Utah Dept. of Public Safety helicopter team was able to safely transfer the patient to Hurricane rescue crews, who then took the individual to the St. George Regional Hospital for further care. 3 injured after car catches fire following multi-vehicle crash
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah () — Three people were taken to a local hospital after a car caught fire following a multi-vehicle crash in southern Utah on Saturday. According to Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash on State Route 59 just after 5 p.m. on May 3. While heading to the scene, officials learned that one of the vehicles was on fire and that 'multiple patients were involved.' 'Upon arrival, crews initiated triage and began fire suppression efforts,' Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue said on social media. 'The incident involved two vehicles and a total of three patients, all of whom were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.' After responding, officials were able to extinguish the vehicle fire, as well as some nearby brush that had caught fire. The incident occurred near mile marker 12 on State Route 59. Several units responded to the scene, in addition to officials with the Utah Highway Patrol, UDOT Incident Management, Hurricane City Police Department, and the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Each of the three people involved received minor injuries. The latest conditions of the victims were not disclosed by officials as of Saturday evening. One airlifted with critical burn, blast injuries in Rockville basement fire
ROCKVILLE, Utah (ABC4) — One person was critically injured in a basement fire in Rockville, Utah, Saturday afternoon, according to Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue. Shortly after 12:50 p.m., fire units responded to a structure fire at 101 East Main Street, Rockville. Fire personnel arrived on scene to find a 'well-involved basement fire' in a residential home, Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue posted on social media. One individual was reportedly critically injured with burn and blast injuries. They were treated on scene before Intermountain LifeFlight transported them to a burn unit in Las Vegas, officials said. 'To facilitate emergency response and the helicopter landing, State Route 9 was temporarily shut down,' the post states. 'Multiple agencies responded, including Hurricane Valley Fire District, Springdale Police Department, and Zion National Park. We also extend our thanks to Hildale/Colorado City Fire for assisting with additional calls during this incident.' The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. 1 hospitalized after falling 30 feet at Zion National Park
ZION NATIONAL PARK, Utah (ABC4) — One person was hospitalized after falling around 30 feet at Zion National Park's Pine Creek drainage area on Sunday, according to Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue. At around 7 p.m. on April 13, Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue responded to help Zion National Park personnel with a rescue operation. It was reported that an individual had fallen around 30 feet in the Pine Creek drainage area. Rescue crews arrived at the scene and were able to safely transport the individual down to an ambulance. The person was then taken to St. George Regional Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The individual reportedly suffered multiple injuries in the fall. Details regarding their injuries have not been released at this time. No further information is currently available.
