Caitlin Clark cereal to be sold throughout Midwest
Entering her second WNBA season, Caitlin Clark has become a collectible phenomenon. (Credit: Hy-Vee and Getty Images) Demand for all things Caitlin Clark shows no signs of slowing down. More than a year after Hy-Vee began selling Caitlin's Crunch Time cereal at its Iowa grocery stores — and collectors and opportunists promptly flipped the $5 boxes for a 5x return on eBay — the brand is teaming up again with the Indiana Fever star to bring the cereal to all Hy-Vee stores in the Midwest. Advertisement According to a statement released by Hy-Vee, 100% of Clark's portion of the proceeds will benefit her foundation. The secondary market for the cereal, which is being sold in limited-edition, has remained strong, with eBay sales sitting steadily around $20-$30. RELATED STORIES: Clark signed an NIL deal with Hy-Vee in 2021 when she was a sophomore at Iowa. 'My family and I decided early on that we were going to be selective about partnerships, we wanted something special,' Clark said in a statement in 2021. 'Hy-Vee was an ideal match because we share so many values. I admire Hy-Vee's leadership in our communities and how they are committed to giving back, especially in the areas of education and health and wellness.' Legends for Kids gearing up for another year
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Registration is open for another year of Sanford's Legends for Kids youth clinics. The camps have been a Sioux Falls tradition for over 20 years. In a partnership with Hy-Vee, Sanford Sports will provide free clinics for kindergarten through eighth graders. They can choose from seven different sports. Mark McCloskey helps organize the volleyball clinic, which is the first camp available on June 3. Deadwood firefighters aid in single vehicle crash 'We're always excited to get more kids in the gym,' McCloskey said. Almost 200 kids have already signed up for the camps. For McCloskey, it's all about giving them a good experience. 'I know for basketball, baseball, softball, golf, football, for a lot of kids, it's their first chance to come to a camp. We recognize that and try and give them an experience where they're going to want to come back,' McCloskey said. 'You get to see kids walk in with smiles on their faces. They feel very special for the day. You make them feel great, give them positive interactions, words of encouragement, things like that. I think that's what kids need right now,' Sanford Sports Complex director Brock Reynoldson said. And organizers hope the athletes can learn lessons that go beyond their sport. 'All the things that sports provide you off the field from character development, leadership skills, communication, friendship, those are things that we really take a lot of pride in doing,' Reynoldson said. 'We try and get them to pay attention, listen and be coachable, which is always a challenge, but we try and give them things like the effort and energy that it takes to be good at whatever they're going to do. That's something we try and teach all our kids,' McCloskey said. The Legends for Kids gala and golf tournament will come to an end this year, but you can expect some new things planned. More will be released about that later this summer. For more information on the youth clinics as well as the Legends high school football team camp, click the links below.
