Guelph man arrested in hit and run

A Guelph man has been arrested in connection with a hit and run collision Sunday morning. Guelph Police say just before 9 a.m., a delivery truck was struck by a black Hyundai SUV near Paisley Street and Edinburgh Road North. 'The driver of the heavily-damaged SUV fled northbound on Edinburgh Road,' police said in a media release. 'A member of the public contacted police Monday afternoon after seeing a media release asking for witnesses to come forward.' The SUV was later found in a parking lot on Willow Road. A 42-year-old Guelph man is charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and careless driving.

Police looking for tips in Guelph hit and run investigation

(Source: Guelph Police Service) The Guelph Police Service is trying to identify a driver involved a hit and run crash in the city on Sunday. According to a media release, the driver of a black Hyundai SUV struck a delivery truck near Paisley Street and Edinburgh Road North around 9 a.m. The SUV took off and was last seen travelling northbound on Edinburgh Road. Police said the Hyundai had significant damage to its front-end, including a missing headlight and fog light, on the driver's side. Witnesses told officers the driver was 'possibly an Indian male wearing glasses.' Police did not say if anyone was hurt in the collision. One injured in I-85 road rage shooting

TROUP COUNTY, Ga. () — The Troup County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting which happened on I-85 in the early hours of the morning. Deputies responded to a scene on southbound I-85 near mile marker 21 around 6:30 a.m. in reference to a possible shooting. There, they found a 56-year-old male who had pulled off to the side of the road. He was bleeding from the eye with an apparent gunshot wound. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division determined the suspect could be an unknown male in a silver car, possibly a KIA of Hyundai SUV, who cut the driver off in what was described as a 'road rage' incident and before firing shots into the victim's car and continuing south on I-85. The victim was transported to a Columbus hospital for treatment.
