One injured, lane closed in I-57 rollover crash in Douglas Co.
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois State Police is currently on scene at a rollover crash on Interstate 57 just north of Tuscola. At approximately 3:50 p.m., State Police Troop 7 responded to I-57 southbound milepost 213 in Douglas County for the report of a single unit rollover traffic crash with injuries. At this time, the minor injuries sustained are unknown. One airlifted in I-57 rollover crash in Shelby Co. At 4:24 p.m., State Police said Troop 7, as well as local EMS and police were on scene. At the location of the crash, the right lane is currently closed, and traffic is moving slowly through the area in the left lane. State Police is asking drivers to slow down and be aware of slow or stopped vehicles in the area of the crash. An update will be provided by State Police when the crash scene is cleared. One airlifted in I-57 rollover crash in Shelby Co.
SHELBY COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — One person was airlifted to a local hospital following a single vehicle crash north of Effingham on Interstate 57 Saturday morning. At approximately 8:06 a.m., Illinois State Police Troop 7 responded to I-57 southbound milepost 172 in Shelby County for the report of a single unit rollover traffic crash. As a result of the rollover, one person was airlifted to a local hospital with injuries. Former Clark Co. student arrested in Indiana after bomb threat of former school At approximately 8:28 a.m., all southbound lanes were closed at this location for air evac. At approximately 8:58 a.m., both State Police Troop 7 and Troop 9 were still on scene, and at 9:01 a.m., all lanes re-opened. One dead following vehicle vs. semi-truck crash on I-57 in Neoga
NEOGA, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois State Police are on scene at a passenger vehicle versus semi-truck crash that killed 'at least' one person on Interstate 57 in Neoga. At approximately 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to I-57 northbound near US-45 milepost 177 for the report of a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck. Preliminary information shows that the vehicle crossed from the southbound into the northbound lanes and struck the semi-truck. Five-vehicle crash in Champaign Co. leads to four hospitalizations The vehicle became fully engulfed in fire, and at this time, at least one occupant from the vehicle has been declared deceased. Additionally, I-57 northbound lanes will be shut down for an extended period of time. This is an active investigation and there is no further information at this time. All northbound lanes closed on I-57 in south Chicago suburb after report of pedestrian hit
All northbound lanes are closed on I-57 after a possible crash near 127th Street in suburban Calumet Park on Tuesday morning. According to Illinois State Police, troopers were responding to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle on the expressway. Details on the crash were not immediately available. It appears traffic is being forced off at 127th Street as crews work to clear the crash site. Morning commuters should seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
