Ayumi Hamasaki To Return To Singapore Stage After Over A Decade
J-pop superstar Ayumi Hamasaki is making a long-awaited return to Singapore in 2025 as part of her new Asia tour titled I Am Ayu Ep II , her label Avex announced on April 9.
The tour will see Hamasaki performing in several cities across the region, with the 46-year-old updating her Instagram bio on April 10 to include Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Sendai, and Fukuoka, among others.
Her last performance in Singapore was in 2014 during the Japanese music festival A-Nation held at Marina Bay Sands.
Details such as dates, venues and ticket sales are still under wraps.
Despite her hearing challenges — Hamasaki revealed in 2008 that she had lost hearing in her left ear and in 2017 said her right ear had also begun to deteriorate — the singer continues to perform and produce music.
The pop icon recently marked her 27th anniversary with the release of a new single, Mimosa , on 8 April. Her career, which began with the release of Poker Face in 1998, includes chart-topping hits like Seasons (2000) and Blue Bird (2006). Related
