Last Updated: RCB defeated the Punjab Kings by six runs to win their maiden IPL title at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Royal Challengers Bengaluru managed to end their 18-year-long wait for the Indian Premier League trophy on June 3 when they defeated the Punjab Kings by a mere six runs in a thriller. For all of Virat Kohli's fans, it was dream day to see the batter bring the elusive trophy home after the T20 World Cup and the ICC Champions triumphs. Zerodha's Nikhil Kamath too dropped a message to celebrate everyone's favourite King Kohli. Kamath on Instagram Stories said, ''Virat Kohli you are the #BangaloreBoy today. Congrats RCB," followed by a heart emoji. Post RCB's victory, Kohli was visibly emotional. He fell to the ground in tears. The tears say it all Speaking after his team's momentous victory, the India batter told ESPN, 'I never thought this day would come. I was overcome with emotion as soon as the last ball was bowled. This means so much to me. I've given each and every ounce of my energy to this team. To have finally won the IPL is an amazing feeling." top videos View all Expressing his love for his team, Kohli added that he had always dreamt of winning the IPL trophy with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 'This is far more special than winning it with anyone else, because my heart is with Bangalore, my soul is with Bangalore. As I said, this is the team I'm going to play for till the last day I play the IPL. So, this one is absolutely right up there," he explained. For RCB, this was their fourth IPL final. The team will participate in a victory parade on June 4 to celebrate with their fans. The parade will end at the home ground of the team- the M. Chinnaswamy stadium.
