90s pop icons Elite return to stage with "Elite Live '25" this September
25 Jun - After much speculations, Malaysia's pop group Elite announced that they will be holding their first ever concert "Elite Live '25" this coming September.
The group of five, consisting of Linda Rafar, Abby Abadi, Sasha Saidin, Watie Sadali and Azza Zawari, will be collaborating with ICON Entertainment for their concert that will be held at Plenary Hall Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 20 September. It is noted that ICON was the same company that previously organised the highly successful GenKRU concert series back in May.
ICON's Iman Tang stated that the decision to organise the "Elite Live '25" concert was made following the successful reunion Elite had when they performed at KRU's GenKRU concert.
Meanwhile, Linda, who represents the group, stated, "To be honest, we were nervous about many things because as everyone knows, Elite hasn't done any stage performances on a large scale for a long time. So, when we received the offer from ICON Entertainment, we had mixed feelings."
"However, we decided to agree and finally ELITE LIVE '25 will come true. This decision takes into account that the works created for Elite are still popular and still relevant," she added.
In ICON's usual fashion, the upcoming concert will have its dress code and this time, the theme will be "catwalk". This means that fans of the group are required to attend the concert in their best most stylish outfit.
Tickets, which ranges from RM 1088 to RM 268, can be obtained via starting Thursday, 26 June at 2pm.
