ICAI releases revised schedule for CA Inter, Final Exams 2025; check new dates here

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI, has issued a revised timetable for the CA Intermediate and Final exams scheduled to be conducted from May 9 to May 14, 2025 but were postponed amid tense and security situation in the country. As per the official notice, the examinations will be conducted from May 16, 2025 to May 24, 2025. Also read: HBSE Haryana board result 2025 news: Steps to check 10th, 12th results when out It further stated the rescheduled examinations, will be held at the same examination centres and at the same timings - 2 PM to 5 PM (IST) / 2 PM to 6 PM (IST). Additionally, admit cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled dates. The ICAI further stated that there would be no change in the examination schedule in the event of any day of the examination scheduled being declared a Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government / Local Holiday. The remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 was scheduled from May 9 to May 14, 2025. Last Updated: The exams which were scheduled to be held from May 9 to May 14 will now take place from May 16 to 24, as per the official notice by ICAI. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had earlier postponed the ongoing Chartered Accountant Final, Inter and Post Qualification Course Examinations (INTT AT) amid the soaring tensions between India and Pakistan. The institute has announced the revised date sheet now. The exams which were scheduled to be held from May 9 to May 14 will now take place from May 16 to 24, as per the official notice. 'In continuation to the Institute's Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025 dated 13th January 2025 read with Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025/II dated 8th May 2025 it is hereby announced for general information that in view of the favourable developments in the security situations in the country; it has now been decided that the Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and INTT-AT (PQC) examinations earlier scheduled from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025 will now be held from 16th May 2025 to 24th May 2025…," read the official notice by ICAI. Admit Cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled dates. The ICAI has announced that there would be no change in the exam schedule in the event of any public or local holiday announced by the government. ICAI CA May 2025 Exams: Revised Schedule The CA Final Group I exams were held on May 2, 4, and 6, while the Group II exams were scheduled to take place on May 8, 10, and 13. Similarly, the ICAI CA Intermediate Group I exams were conducted between May 3 to May 7 however, the Group II exam which were scheduled to be held on May 9, 11, and 14, have been postponed. As per ICAI's passing criteria, candidates need to score at least 40 per cent in each paper. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) informed Saturday (May 10, 2025) that the remainder of the final and intermediate level examinations to qualify as a chartered accountant (CA) would be conducted between May 16 and 24. Exams of the Post Qualification Course (International Taxation –Assessment Test), or the INTT AT, would also follow the same schedule. The apex body regulating chartered accountancy in the country also clarified that exams of the foundational level would be held as per schedule between May 15 and 21. The final and intermediate exams were earlier to be held between May 9 and 14. ICAI on Thursday (May 8, 2025) announced postponing them owing to the 'tense and security situation in the country'. As with the latest development, it elaborated that the revised schedule took note of the 'favourable developments in the security situations in the country'. It informed that there shall be no change in the examination centres and timings. Furthermore, the existing admit cards would continue being valid. According to data shared by ICAI on Friday, 1.58 lakh students are to appear in the final and intermediate exams this May.

According to the previous schedule, the ICAI CA May 2025 exam dates were planned between May 2 and May 14. In the CA Intermediate exam, Group 1 papers were to be held on May 3, 5, and 7, while Group 2 exams were scheduled for May 9, 11, and 14. Similarly, in the CA Final exam, Group 1 papers were to be conducted on May 2, 4, and 6, and Group 2 papers on May 8, 10, and 13, intermediate exams were to take place daily from 2pm to 5pm.
