Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz 'snub' Met Gala as family 'feud' rages on
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are no strangers to an A-list event, especially not the Met Gala.
However, the hot couple are not expected to show up tonight.
It comes after numerous reports over the weekend that there is beef in the Beckham camp, given how Brooklyn failed to show up at his dad David Beckham's 50th birthday bash.
The footballing legend celebrated entering his fifth decade in epic style along with wife Victoria, 51, and their children: Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13.
A raucous party was held in London, which even attracted noise complaints as celebs, including Gordon Ramsay and Tom Cruise, drank their way into the early hours.
Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent, though, as it's believed they jetted back to the States upon deciding not to show.
As a result, the 26-year-old photographer/chef and his actress wife, 30, are believed to have pulled out of Anna Wintour's annual fashion extravaganza this evening, despite no longer being physically unable to attend due to being across the pond.
The Sun reports that Brooklyn is now reeling after missing out on a huge milestone with his family, with a source sharing an insight into the fallout with the publication.
'They (Brooklyn and Nicola) cancelled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David's party on Saturday,' the insider began.
'But Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been levelled at Nicola.
'She has never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive—she's a loyal wife.'
Of course, the reasons for Brooklyn and Nicola's absence are all hearsay currently, but it was claimed by TMZ that Brooklyn promised to go on one condition.
Allegedly, he had asked that his ex-girlfriend, London-born DJ Kim Turnbull, not show. But since she is now dating younger Beckham brother Romeo, the family reportedly declined.
This led to Brooklyn deciding to skip the do altogether, but close pals have said he did text his famous father to wish him well.
Brooklyn also reportedly attempted to arrange a private meet-up but was unsuccessful.
As the dust begins to settle after the Beckham clan's wild weekend, Metro has been told that Brooklyn feels 'disappointed in himself' for how things turned out.
'David was truly in his element surrounded by all of his family and closest friends; it was a great time all around,' a source said.
'He wants things to go back to how they were, but it feels as if the divide has separated the family deeply.
'Nicola isn't pushing him to repair things either. He's married now, and his wife will continue to be his biggest focus.' More Trending
Meanwhile, Nicola has returned to social media and kept schtum on the swirling reports of a feud, instead doing some promotional work to her 3.1million followers.
Mere hours ahead of this year's Met Gala arrivals, she took to her Instagram feed with an ad for ISDIN SPF, noting that May is Melanoma Awareness Month.
Despite plenty of comments quizzing her on why she 'doesn't like her in-laws' and demanding a response to her absence from Becks' party, the director said nothing.
Reps for Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have been contacted for comment.
