Country icon Vince Gill returns to Minneapolis this spring
Country music icon Vince Gill has unveiled a more than 30-city summer tour that will include a stop in downtown Minneapolis.
Hennepin Arts will bring the 22-time Grammy winner to the Orpheum Theatre on May 22.
The 67-year-old singer behind "I Still Believe In You" has spent the last eight years as a touring member of the Eagles. Gill's solo tour will kick off shortly after the "Hotel California" band wraps up a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
'I left home 50 years ago to try and become an accomplished musician and perform in front of whoever would show up," Gill said in a statement. "All these years later, it feels as special today as it ever did.'
He'll be joined for the tour by an eight-piece band that includes Tom Bukovac (guitar), Eddie Dunlap (steel guitar), Jedd Hughes (guitar, vocals), John Jarvis (keyboards), Wendy Moten (vocals), Jimmie Lee Sloas (bass), Billy Thomas (drums), and Jeff White (guitar, vocals).
Tickets for Gill's performance at the Orpheum go on sale Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.
