Two held in Barak Valley for pro-Pak posts
Silchar: Two individuals from Assam's Barak Valley were arrested for allegedly sharing pro-Pakistan and anti-India content on social the first incident, Jabir Hussain, a resident of the Nilambazar area in Sribhumi district, was taken into custody by the Nilambazar police on Saturday.
Authorities acted swiftly after receiving complaints about a Facebook post that allegedly promoted Pakistan, while denigrating India. Hussain was arrested from his residence, and his social media activity is currently under a separate case, Bilal Ahmed of Jalagram, Borkhola in Cachar district was arrested by the Bihara police team. According to officials, Ahmed allegedly posted content on social media praising the Pakistani army and raising slogans such as "Pakistan Zindabad". The arrest followed multiple complaints from local residents.
