Minor girl blackmailed, gang-raped in Budaun for a yr; 3 held
Bareilly: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly blackmailed and gang-raped repeatedly over the past year in a village under Ujhani police station limits, Budaun, after a video of the first assault was recorded and later circulated on social media. Three of the four accused were arrested on Wednesday, said police. According to the complaint filed by the girl's uncle, the incident began a year ago when she had gone to graze goats and was raped by three men, residents of the same village, while a fourth, a middle-aged villager, filmed it. The video was used to threaten her into silence and repeated assault. The footage was later circulated online when the girl stopped responding to their calls. SP (City) Vijendra Dwivedi said, "We examined the video and found that it was a year old. Three men misused it to rape the minor girl multiple times. We have registered an FIR under the relevant sections of BNS, Pocso and IT Acts. Three accused, including a 17-year-old, have been arrested. The search for the fourth is on." A senior officer added, "The accused claimed it was consensual and that the girl was an adult. However, school records confirm she is 17, and was 16 at the time of the incident. This constitutes a heinous crime, and we will file a chargesheet soon."

Man held for molesting girl by scaring her with a cobra
Kota: A 29-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh was arrested in Kota Tuesday evening for allegedly molesting a minor girl, cheating, and possessing and a live cobra. The accused, Mohammed Imran, a native of Jhansi, was residing with his wife in a rented house in Raja Nagar under the Railway Colony police station limits. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Kota City SP Amrita Duhan said the matter came to light after a local resident lodged a complaint alleging that Imran molested his minor niece, recorded obscene videos of her, and defrauded the complainant's father of Rs 1.36 lakh. The accused reportedly used a cobra to intimidate women and girls into silence and compliance. During the search of Imran's residence, police recovered fake Indian currency notes amounting to Rs 7.20 lakh, a live cobra, and metallic wildlife replicas. Forest officials were called in to rescue the snake from the premises. Imran's wife, Asmeen (25), was also booked under sections of the POCSO and IT Acts for allegedly filming the videos, though she has not yet been arrested. Railway Colony SHO Ramswroop said the minor's abuse came to light when the complainant checked Imran's mobile phone and found explicit videos. The victim later confirmed the incidents, stating that Imran had threatened to kill her using the cobra if she revealed anything.
