Ramyeon, Corndogs & K-Wings: Korean Food Steps Out of Cafes And Into Hyderabad's Streets
Last Updated:
Korean street food is gaining popularity in Hyderabad, especially near ITC Kohinoor. Social media and K-dramas have played a big role in fuelling this growing trend
Hyderabad is a city renowned for its rich culinary culture, with biryani reigning supreme. However, the city's food streets have recently seen a growing interest in international flavours, especially Korean cuisine.
While the city already has Korean restaurants that offer sit-down dining experiences with dishes like bibimbap and bulgogi, Korean food has now moved beyond cosy cafes and upscale outlets to the bustling streets.
From Seoul to Hyderabad
A new food stall near ITC Kohinoor in Madhapur is making waves by bringing Korea's iconic street food to Hyderabad's tech crowd. Called RK's Korean Street Food, the stall is drawing in crowds with its quick, affordable, and flavour-packed offerings.
Paper bowls of ramen, hot chicken corndogs, crispy wings, and golden potato keevs are now a common sight, served hot to college students, professionals, and foodies alike.
The menu of the food truck features Korean fried chicken wings and tenders, zinger and tender rolls, and Indo-Korean fusion snacks like crispy paneer, fish fingers, and spiced onion rings. Priced reasonably and served fast, the food is not only tasty but also makes Korean flavours more accessible to the everyday Hyderabadi.
