GUANGZHOU -- The price of drone components shipped from China to the U.S. has multiplied by three times or more in some cases since Beijing tightened export restrictions in 2024, trade data shows.
The Chinese government adopted regulations that September to require export permits for dual-use goods. The items include engines, motors, laser equipment that can be used to target missiles, and devices that emit electromagnetic waves to jam enemy drones.
