ITV The Chase viewers 'in disbelief' as cocky player makes bold move against The Vixen
ITV The Chase viewers 'in disbelief' as cocky player makes bold move against The Vixen The quizzer was left red-faced after making a blunder about Abraham Lincoln, but it was Sinclair's 'cocky' reaction which got fans talking on social media Jenny Ryan could not find her words after what the quizzer did (Image: Getty Images ) Jenny Ryan, also known as The Vixen, was taken aback during an episode of The Chase when contestant Sinclair made a daring move that stunned both viewers and the Chaser herself. The team comprising Cammy, Sinclair, Ore, and Katherine were ready to challenge one of Britain's top quiz minds. Katherine stepped up first on the popular ITV show, earning £3,000 in the Cash Builder round before going head-to-head with Jenny Ryan. Katherine excelled, returning to her squad with £3,000 and starting the group's winning fund. Ore, buoyed by Katherine's success, added an impressive £5,000 from his Cash Builder to the pot. He too secured a place in the final, pushing the total to £8,000, reports the Liverpool Echo. However, it was Sinclair who became the talk of the town with his quizzing prowess, nabbing £4,000 before squaring off against The Vixen. Bradley Walsh posed the query: "How long after he delivered the speech known as Gettysburg Address did Abraham Lincoln die? A) 17 days, B) 17 weeks or C) 17 months." Despite the correct answer being 17 months, Jenny incorrectly guessed 17 days followed by an explanation from The Chaser about her mistake. Article continues below One viewer took to Twitter, commenting: "Jenny don't tie yourself in knots overexplaining." Another chimed in saying: "Vixen hush. You didn't know that Abraham Lincoln question and that's ok." Sinclair managed to clinch a place in the final, much to viewers' astonishment, particularly after his brazen reaction to winning. As he rejoined his team, Sinclair gestured boldly towards The Chaser and quipped: "She didn't like that did she?", leaving The Vixen somewhat lost for words as she remarked: "I don't know what to say." Frustrated yet determined, she added: "He slipped through my fingers there. I'm annoyed about that but you know what I'm still going to beat them, especially after all that shenanigans." Bradley Walsh sensed the tension on set and observed: "There's a bit of taunting going on here." Meanwhile, fans flocked online to discuss Sinclair's audacious behaviour. A social media user exclaimed: "OMG just saw what Sinclair did to the Vixen and had to get on here." One enthusiastic fan added their two pence on platform X: "Giving her shade yes! !" While another posted: "Too cocky for my liking." Article continues below Sinclair's victory brought the total fund up to £12,000 ahead of Cammy's attempt to outwit The Chaser. Despite collecting an impressive £7,000 in the Cash Builder round, Cammy was ousted by The Vixen. In the final chase, Sinclair, Katherine and Ore managed a score of ten, which unfortunately wasn't enough to beat The Chaser. The Vixen showcased her impressive general knowledge prowess, finishing with one minute and thirty seconds still on the clock.

The 57-year-old international affairs analyst for ITV News has been gradually returning to work, making appearances on digital platforms like ITVX. It is understood that Omaar will feature in a pre-recorded segment on West Africa during ITV's News At Ten this Friday. Last April, viewers were concerned when he seemed to have difficulty reading the news bulletins on-air, leading to him being hospitalised. At the time, Omaar expressed his determination to continue presenting and thanked his colleagues for their support. In April 2024, ITV News confirmed he had received "medical treatment at hospital" and was on the mend. ITV Emmerdale fans 'fume' as Anthony's murder truth exposed
Emmerdale fans were not happy with one character's behaviour, as Anthony's death has not yet been revealed to residents in the village. Drama continued on the ITV soap as Steph (Georgia Jay), still suspicious of her mum and dad, was keen to find out what happened to her grandad (Anthony Fox). Earlier this year, Steph's mum Ruby killed Anthony and has attempted to cover up her tracks ever since. Emotional scenes saw Ruby (Beth Cordingly) admit she was sexually abused by her dad when she was a teenager. In a harrowing turn of events, Steph's biological father is actually Anthony (Nicholas Day), not Caleb (William Ash). A few villagers found out about the heartbreaking news, as Aaron, John, Ruby, Caleb and Cain all got themselves involved in a sickening murder. In recent scenes, Caleb told Cain (Jeff Hordley) everything about what happened the night Anthony was murdered. He admitted that Ruby killed him, and they used Cain's garage to hide Anthony's car. Oblivious to everything that had gone down in the last few months, Steph's concerns about her grandad continued to grow, as he had not been returning her calls. READ MORE: ITV The Chase fans 'fume' at what Darragh Ennis said to player READ MORE: BBC Bargain Hunt sees 'biggest loss in show history' as star says 'I'm off' Last night, viewers saw Steph go digging for more information about Anthony's whereabouts. She even tried to trick Caleb by telling him she'd received a phone call from her grandad from France. But at the end of Tuesday's (March 12) episode, Steph discovered a gun in the family safe. Tonight, she confronted her mum and dad and asked them to come clean. She asked them: "Was this used on my grandad?" However, Ruby and Caleb were prepared to cover their tracks, as they claimed: "That gun has got nothing to do with your grandad." Caleb told Steph he had planned to use it on his brother, Cain Dingle, the day after the limo crash. It was revealed Cain had slept with Ruby which left Caleb furious. Steph failed to believe him, and decided to pay Cain a visit to find out what really happened. But to her surprise, Cain's story matched exactly what her dad had said. But viewers saw Caleb arrive first, and planned what Cain would say. Later in the episode, Steph told Ross she didn't believe any of it: "I am definitely right about them hiding something." She confided in him: "If they have killed my grandfather, then they deserve to get what's coming." With the hopes of trying to distract Steph, Caleb bought her a plane ticket to San Francisco to visit her brother Nicky. He told her to "clear her head" and "please drop this." She has been asking her parents for information about her grandad almost everyday for the past three months, and viewers are starting to wish for the storyline to end. Taking to social media, one fan said: "Just tell her the truth coz this is bloody painful." Another wrote: "I still think it would be better if Steph knew the truth about her grandad." More added to the conversation on X: "For the love of god someone tell Steph. Beyond boring", "This Steph/Grandad/Caleb/Ruby saga is REALY BRING IT TO AN END!!!!" and "I can't wait for Steph to find out the truth about her 'grandad'." Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
