Yamaha Launches FZ-X Hybrid Motorcycle with Color TFT Meter and Turn by Turn Navigation
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) today announced the introduction of the 2025 FZ-X model with its distinct Hybrid Engine Technology, Colour TFT Meter and Turn-By-Turn (TBT) Navigation system, adding more convenience and further elevating the premium experience for riders. The 2025 FZ-X model, equipped with Hybrid Engine, is available in Matte Titan colour and is priced at INR 1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha's Hybrid Engine introduces advanced features like the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS). These technologies provide quieter starts, battery-assisted acceleration, and improved fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine at idle and restarting with a quick clutch action. Adding to the appeal of new FZ-X Hybrid, there is a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster that effortlessly connects to smartphones through the Y-Connect app. Alongside, the Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation integrated with Google Maps, provides real-time directions, navigation index, intersection details, and road names, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free riding experience. Presenting a choice to the customers, FZ-X in standard variant (non-hybrid) will also be available at INR 1,29,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and in Dark Matte Blue & Metallic Black colours. With its neo-retro design, a sturdy metal body, and now the iconic 'Yamaha' logomark on the tank, the FZ-X is powered by an air-cooled 149cc fuel-injected engine, ensuring superior performance. The 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve motorcycle produces 12.4PS of peak power at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm, providing powerful acceleration and manoeuvrability. Additionally, the Traction Control System (TCS) and single-channel ABS offer more confidence and agility on any road condition. The telescopic suspension at the front and 7-step adjustable Monocross suspension at the rear, along with a two-level seat design featuring a slip-resistant tuck and roll design, ensure a comfortable ride even on long journeys. The introduction of 2025 Hybrid technology in FZ-X motorcycle marks a significant step by Yamaha towards the future of motorcycling—redefined by efficiency, performance, and smart connectivity.

2025 Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid Details: India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has launched the 2025 Yamaha FZ-X with mild-hybrid tech, updated features, and a fresh colour option, priced at Rs 1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That's about Rs 20,000 more than the standard version. One of the big highlights is a new 4.2-inch TFT console that supports smartphone connectivity via Yamaha's Y-Connect app. It offers turn-by-turn navigation, Google Maps access, and notifications for calls and messages. The updated FZ-X introduces a new Matte Titan colour (lighter matte green), joining the existing Metallic Black and Matte Blue options. The design stays the same, with its round LED headlight and metal fuel tank. It still rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, with a 100-section tyre at the front and a 140-section at the rear. The suspension setup includes a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking is handled by a 282mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, supported by single-channel ABS. Other features include full LED lighting, switchable traction control, a USB charging port, and a side-stand engine cut-off. Powering the 2025 FZ-X is the same 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, paired with mild-hybrid tech. This includes a smart motor generator (SMG) and a start/stop system. The hybrid system gives a small boost when accelerating and helps improve fuel economy. It also allows for a quieter, smoother engine start. Yamaha Organises 3S Grand Prix 2024–25 with National-Level Showdown
India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. (IYM) organized the Yamaha National 3S Grand Prix 2024–25 today, which is a skill-based competition that recognises the efforts of dealership staff who play a pivotal role in delivering Yamaha's Premium 3S experience (Sales, Service, and Spares) to our esteemed customers. The activity aims at motivating and rewarding Yamaha's on-ground support and enhancing their skills, while simultaneously bolstering the brand's premium customer experience at dealerships across the country. This initiative highlights Yamaha's commitment to differentiating its aftersales service, and ensuring a unique, and unparalleled brand experience. The 2024~25 National 3S Grand Prix contest consisted of five key categories – Technician, Service Advisor, Tele-Caller (a brand-new category), Parts Manager, and Sales Consultant. It was held in three stages and began with the Regional Contest from 15th August ~ 30th September 2024, with highest participation of 7567. Evaluated through online examination, the top five contestant from each category and from each zone then moved to zonal round, which happened from 17th February ~ 18th March 2025, and depending on the category, took place either at the Yamaha Motor Academy or onsite at Yamaha dealerships. The final stage, which is the National-level Contest, was held on 24th and 25th June 2025 at Yamaha's Surajpur, Greater Noida facility. A total of 40 finalists competed for top honours, and top 3 from each category are felicitated by top management. The top winner of technician category will now go on to represent India at World Technician Grand Prix 2025 going to held in the month of November 2025 in Japan. At the service end, Technicians were judged on their acumen in troubleshooting, diagnosis and maintenance. Service Advisors, who happen to be the customer facing personnel at dealerships, were graded on their skills with handling customers and ensuring quality and timely vehicle delivery. The Tele-Callers were judged basis their prowess with handling customers and their command over effective communication skills. The purchase aspect of the dealership experience for customers is dependent on Sales Consultants. These critical front-line employees were judged on their abilities to handle customers and impart a premium experience to them. On the spares front, the Parts Managers were graded on their ability to efficiently manage the stock of spares to reduce vehicle downtime and while also testing their ability to attend to customers. The National Technician Grand Prix (NTGP) first launched in India in 2010 with participation from 350 technicians and has grown exponentially each year. By 2019, participation had surged to 2,522 technicians, 1,289 service advisors, and 499 parts managers. The 2023 edition saw over 6,000 contestants from across the country take part in the Grand Prix across all four key categories, showcasing the scale, enthusiasm, and growing impact of the initiative. With the introduction of the Tele-Caller category in 2024–25, the participation raised to highest ever 7567 contestants. While the contest is a way for the staff to represent their dealership as well as India across the world, the ultimate aim of these competitions is to ensure that the staff is well aware and prepared to support the customers, delighting them with exceptional service and care, being one of the prime focuses of the company for its customers. (IYM) successfully held the Yamaha National 3S Grand Prix 2024–25, a skill-based competition that celebrates the dedication and expertise of its dealership staff across Sales, Service, and Spares (3S). The grand finale took place on June 24–25 at Yamaha's Surajpur facility in Greater Noida, with 40 finalists competing for national honours. The winners were felicitated by Yamaha's top management. Notably, the champion in the Technician category will represent India at the World Technician Grand Prix 2025 in Japan this November.
