Bayley May Be Leaving WWE: Report
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Although Bayley has done it all in the pro wrestling business, that doesn't mean she will be in WWE forever. Recent comments have made fans concerned about her future. She was pulled from WrestleMania 41 with a storyline injury that resulted in Becky Lynch replacing her in a WWE Women's Tag Team Title match. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Bayley openly discussed her future with the company, suggesting that the end of her current contract could mark a change for her. "I have so many other things I want to make it into. I have a year and a half left on this current contract, so we'll see what happens then. And then what? Man, I don't know. I think I've done everything I really want to do, not everything. There's still a lot I want to get done, but done so much with WWE and I've been here for already 12 years and there's a huge wave of women coming in that I think are ready to take over, ready to be in those spots," Bayley stated, hinting at potential aspirations beyond her in-ring career and recognizing the depth of the current women's roster. Her experiences working alongside rising stars like Lyra Valkyria, Roxanne Perez, and Cora Jade have given her firsthand insight into the division's offerings. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - APRIL 07: Bayley reacts after defeating IYO SKY for the WWE Women's Championship during Night Two at Lincoln Financial Field on April 07, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - APRIL 07: Bayley reacts after defeating IYO SKY for the WWE Women's Championship during Night Two at Lincoln Financial Field on April 07, 2024 in Philadelphia, news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation "Teaming with Lyra right now has been super eye-opening to what the whole division has to offer. I've got to work with Roxanne. I got to work with Cora. But even like last night, hanging out with Lyra, we went out to dinner, and we hung out with Michin for her birthday. But being able to hang out with her outside of wrestling, hearing her mindset and why she does this, why she wants to make it better, what she wants to make better, how she wants to help even me. Things that we're doing going into WrestleMania, how she wants to be better for me makes me so happy that there's people like that and women like that that want to be better for the division," Bayley stated. Reflecting on the possibility of concluding her full-time wrestling career in the near future, Bayley noted she feels good about the state of the division. However, she is open to the idea of leaving WWE in a few years as an active in-ring performer. "So when I think about okay, I might be done in a couple of years, who knows? I know that it's going to be in good hands. So that makes me really happy. Where before John Cena always says he couldn't leave, because who was going to do what he does? Who's going to take his place? Who's going to be the one to freaking put asses in seats? Who's going to be the one that the kids want to see, that the kids idolize to the level that he does? Cody's doing that. I'm not saying I'm John Cena, but that's kind of the same mindset. As long as it's in good hands, the goal was to just leave it in a better place than you found it," Bayley concluded. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

IYO SKY Makes History At WWE WrestleMania 41
Photo Credit: WWE IYO SKY added her name to the record books in a unique way at WrestleMania 41. SKY successfully retained her WWE Women's Championship against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41. Not only did she hold on to her title and pick up the win, but she also made history as a Japanese WWE performer. Advertisement IYO's win was the first win by a Japanese WWE Superstar in 27 years, as pointed out by Shinsuke Nakamura. The last Japanese wrestler to win a main card match at WrestleMania was Taka Michinoku, who defeated Aguila for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XIV. (Yoshi Tatsu won a 26-man battle royal at WrestleMania XXVI, but that was a pre-show dark match and did not air on the show). In addition, IYO SKY is the first Japanese woman to ever win a match at WrestleMania. How did IYO SKY win her match at WWE WrestleMania 41? IYO SKY has been the WWE Women's World Champion for 47 days. She won the title on the March 3, 2025 episode of WWE RAW in Buffalo. Advertisement The final moments of the match saw Bianca Belair look to win after hitting a KOD on IYO. Ripley broke up the pin, which led to an argument with Belair. Rhea and Bianca fought back and forth before Ripley countered IYO and slammed her into the ring post. Ripley countered another KOD attempt and went for Riptide, but Belair countered with another successful KOD. Belair made the cover, but IYO came off the top rope and hit an Over the Moonsault on Belair for the win. Catch up on everything that went down on night two of WrestleMania 41 here.
