Saturday marks first day of holy Ramadan
Ammon News - Ahmed Al-Hasanat, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, said that the holy month of Ramadan will begin tomorrow, Saturday, in the Hijri year 1446. This occurred on Friday night at the King Hussein bin Talal Mosque, during the Iftaa Department's Ramadan crescent moon sighting event. Al-Hasanat said that following an examination of the crescent sighting findings, the Council of Iftaa, Research, and Islamic Studies has verified that today, Friday, marks the end of the month of Shaaban and that tomorrow, Saturday, marks the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

Jordan announces start of Ramadan on Saturday
