She said the National Women's Policy 2025–2030, under the theme "Empowering Women, Strengthening the Nation", is now in place alongside major support programmes such as Prokit, Ikit, Mamacare, and Wanita Bangkit. Speaking at the National Mother's Day celebration on Sunday, Nancy said these initiatives aim to support single mothers and unemployed women through skills training and employment opportunities. She highlighted that young mothers, particularly those aged 34 and below, who make up one-third of women in Malaysia, face unseen challenges such as financial stress, work-life imbalance, and digital parenting concerns. The event, themed "Sentuhan Kasih Ibu", also honoured two mothers—Kasmirah Jaafar and Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah—with special awards, in the presence of Toh Puan Faridah Tussin and Datin Seri Juliah Salag. * Follow us on Instagram and join our Telegram and/or WhatsApp channel(s) for the latest news you don't want to miss. * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
