This absurd stat that PROVES the Pacers could win it all, + Flagg for Giannis: who says no?

Tom Haberstroh and Dan Devine have unearthed the data that shows Indiana is NOT to be messed with. The Big Number guys explain how the Pacers laid waste to the #1-seed Cleveland Cavaliers, and likely won't be stopped anytime soon. Plus the guys ask the question, would Nico Harrison ever, shockingly, consider trading the #1 overall pick? What caliber of superstar would need to be offered to the Mavs' GM for him to come off of Cooper Flagg?!? The guys think Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks may convince Nico to do the unthinkable (again)! Boston Celtics jersey history No. 19 - Don Nelson (1965-76)

The Boston Celtics have had players suiting up in a total of 68 different jersey numbers (and have three others not part of any numerical series) since their founding at the dawn of the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- the league that would become today's NBA), worn by well over 500 players in the course of Celtics history. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Celtics Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. Advertisement With 25 of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Celtics to wear those jerseys, there is a lot of history to cover. After ending his college career at Iowa, Nelson was picked up with the 19th overall selection of the 1962 NBA draft by the (defunct) Chicago Zephyrs. The Muskegon, Michigan native would play the first season of his pro career with the Zephyrs. He would also play for the Los Angeles Lakers before joining Boston in 1965 as a free agent. His stay with the team would span the last 11 seasons of his playing career in the league, and see him win five titles with the club in that span, his number later retired by the team. Advertisement During his time suiting up for the Celtics, Nelson wore only jersey No. 19 and put up 11.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. After a Game 1 in which the Pacers led for nearly 41 minutes, it looked like the Cavaliers were in position to secure Game 2 and head to Indiana with the series tied. Star guard Donovan Mitchell knew he needed to put the team on his back, and he did just that, scoring 48 points with nine assists and four steals, but it wasn't enough to keep the Pacers from storming back from a deficit of seven points with 48 seconds remaining in the game to steal the win. Now, their season is essentially on the line. To make things more difficult, Darius Garland, De'Andre Hunter, and Evan Mobley are all questionable for Game 3. The resiliency of the Pacers has been impressive all season, but especially in this series. In Game 2, Indiana stared a 14-point fourth quarter deficit on the road squarely in the face and didn't falter, as Tyrese Haliburton scored 11 points in the quarter and the Pacers held the Cavaliers to just 27.8% from the field. His 3-pointer with just one second remaining was the difference, giving the Pacers a 120-119 victory and a commanding 2-0 lead going home. Lebron James confirms he will miss 2025 Met Gala due to knee injury

Lebron James, honorary co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala, has announced he will miss one of fashion's biggest nights due to a knee injury. The NBA All-Star posted on X on Monday morning; he'd be missing the event after an injury he sustained at the end of the basketball season. It is unclear when he suffered the injury. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - APRIL 30: LeBron James #23 of the Los Angeles Lakers during a 103-96 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game Five of the Western Conference First Round NBA Playoffs at Arena on April 30, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. Harry How / Getty Images "Unfortunately, because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won't be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on! Hate to miss an historical event!" his post said. James also wrote that his wife, Savannah, will still be attending the event. The Lakers were recently eliminated from the first round of the NBA playoffs after losing their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This year's Met Gala theme is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," and the dress code is "Tailored for You." The inspiration for the theme comes from Monica L. Miller's 2009 book, "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity." The theme is meant to explore Black style through the history of dandyism. "We're going to see lots of suits, I think in all shapes, sizes, colors," said Complex Editor-in-Chief Aria Hughes, CBS News reported. "I think designers are going to play in different ways, and then hopefully lay in some storytelling. I hope to see some archival pieces from Black designers, like a Patrick Kelly or a Willi Smith. So I'm really hoping that people have fun with it." Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and Vogue editor Anna Wintour will be co-chairing this year's event. The event will be streamed on the official 2025 Met Gala livestream.
